  1. Hello. My husband has been offered a family relocation to Sydney on Sponsored Visa. Before progressing more with his company, i would like to get my facts straight money wise to make sure the move is within our budgets. I have heard that Sydney is quite expensive, husband will be on roughly $120,000 but not sure what mine will be. We have 2 children (8 and 12). Please could someone give me a rough guide on monthly costs (Bills, Food) and also not sure where to even look regarding schools? Still early days but would appreciate any help or advice. Thanks

  3. My Husband and I are getting very close to confirming a job offer in Sydney. We are just trying to get our heads around Visa's. Husband was really wanting a permanent visa for security but by the looks of things there is a long wait for these. They will need him out there working as soon as he is finished here in the UK. So we now think a TSS Visa on Medium Stream is the best bet. So... what information do we need to collect ready for the application. His company is going to be a sponsor and nominate us as a family. also can this progress to a permanent visa over time and are there any restrictions to this. I know you need to be under 45 but think if I read right there is an exception if you already have a TSS and apply via that route? Husband will be 45 next year! Any Advice would be much appreciated. Regards
  4. The customers are all over Australia, Sydney has the most unfortunatley! They already have someone based in Melbourne and don't want to double up I think. I will get him to ask more questions about location to a more solid answer. Thank you again x
  5. Thank you, at the moment we don't know location other that Sydney. There is no actual office in sydney, it will be a work from home job with travel all over Australia. Think we can just chose what area we think is best but somewhere that is commutable to customers/airports etc. As it will be me and the children msot of the week I would like somewhere that has lots going on so I can make friends etc. I am going to push for PR with the costings, I was already aware of the schooling costs so would factor that in to the relocation costs. Thank you x
  6. Good Morning, I am hoping for as much advice as possible. My Husband has recently received a job offer in Australia. It is with the company the works for here in UK but they have a Australia base and struggle to find staff for his line of work. Therefore they are willing to relocate and sponsor. They have asked us to put together a list of requirements for relocation and salary.... so.... can i have advice please. Is there anything i need to think about other than the obvious costs. What is food bills utilities etc average a month, How does it work for schools as we have a 8 and 4 year olds.? Husband has left this but to me to make sure we make the right decision and are not worse off. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Regards Gemma
  7. Hi, im hoping I can get some general advice from an Agent. My husband has been offered a job with his current employer who has an office in Melbourne. They have asked which visa we would like to go with. Either the 457 or 186. Can you give me some pointers on which is best and what the next process would be. We are still waiting for final figures etc from the company before we can process anything. It will be a family of 4 (2 Children aged 7 & 3) Thanks
  8. Please can someone clarify that my searches are correct. Do you not pay School Fees in Victoria/Melbourne for Primary age? Or does this depend on the visa. We are either getting a 457 or 186.
  9. Hi, hoping for a bit of advice or guidance... My husband has been offered a job with his current company with the Australian Branch. Its unclear at the moment which route they are offering visa wise. Its either an 186 or 457. Does anyone know the time scales on these? Any upside or downsides to either? Just want to make sure we have all bases covered before we make a final decision. Thank you
