  1. I think you need the joint name statements even if you are married (which I am). On the document checklist, there is a section for 'Genuine relationship evidence' which starts off with 'If you are married or in a de facto relationship, evidence of a genuine and continuing relationship with your partner to the exclusion of all others....Evidence can include, but is not limited to, joint bank account statements, billing accounts in joint names, and other evidence of cohabitation.' I guess if you have the statements however old they are, upload them!
  2. I paid £5 per document, so this is great news if this is not required anymore.
  3. I read somewhere that they sometimes as for these, especially if you do not list old passport numbers in Form 80 (which I didn't). I guess the old passports were mainly to show my partners British history as she was not born in the UK, so ended up uploading my own too.
  4. It might be different for state sponsored, maybe each state has a separate process for invites. I applied for a 189 visa, which is not dependant on states. I intend to move to Perth, WA.
  5. Invitation rounds take place around twice a month. See the SkillSelect page (link below) and click on Invitation Rounds for more info. https://www.border.gov.au/Busi/Empl/skillselect An invitation round took place today and next one is on 15/02/2017.

  7. You should aim to upload as much as possible if you are looking for a quick grant, using the checklist on the link below: https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa-1/189-/Skilled-Independent-visa-(subclass-189)-document-checklist
  8. klr81, I did not get assigned a CO. My grant letter says GSM Adelaide on the footer of the page. See the link below which covers the allocation dates, and that a CO is only assigned when further information or documents are required. https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Work/Work/Allocation-dates-for-General-Skilled-Migration-applications

  11. Hi Great and very useful forum/website, thanks to all contributors. I am hoping to get a SkillSelect invite in Jan 2017 (for Visa 189). Is anyone able to provide an estimated cost for the medical assessments, it would be for 2 adults (including myself) and 2 young children. Is it also true that costs vary depending on where the assessment is done in the UK, and if so is it worth traveling further to save costs? Thanks in advance.
