  1. How is your visa application going curious tea lady? Just need to reply to your comment as your facts are quite skewed. Kiwi (Maori) as you put it. Have not been entitled to any benefits in Australia since 26th Feb 2001. Also before that there was a two year wait for New Zealander before qualifying for benefits in Australia. My MAORI husband didn't move from New Zealand to Australia leave his whole family behind for benefits. It was to work to earn a living. For a defacto of a New Zealander you shouldn't be sprouting such drivel.
  2. We finally got our PR on the 22nd of March. Can't believe it after all this time. Hubby 16 years and I'm 10.5 years in OZ.
  3. My husbands PR nomination got approved this afternoon. Hope the visa won't be far off.

    Glad to be home!

So happy I found this thread. I have been toying with the idea of moving back for a while. Not home to Ireland but to the UK. Husband has a better chance of finding work there. He is 16 years here from NZ and I am ten years here. We just find now that everything is so expensive. All our savings is spent trying to visit family in Ireland or New Zealand. Housing and childcare is so expensive just can't get ahead. So may as well be closer to family and not getting ahead instead. Ryanair is cheap to travel if planned ahead and can always catch a ferry to Ireland that's not expensive either.
  5. Can anybody assist me with reasoning behind these requests, husbands is with his employer almost four years. As part of the nomination application they are requesting a proof of job offer. Is the fact his worked there four years enough. We have supplied the original email of correspondence when the job was offered. Also company has supplied all company accounts to show we're training threshold has been met, they are requesting proof, company is considering sending in some copies of apprentices training contracts, what else could be supplied. They have also requested that they do not call immigrates they are so busy.
  6. Immigration emailed my husbands employer Saturday night. Querying what the job is and also something about bench mark. Fingers crossed they meet the training bench mark. They have load of apprentices taking new ones on all the time. What are the training bench marks I can't remember
