  1. i did the same and that delayed the process at least 3-4 months. They send your application to overseas citizenship department in Canberra which asks you the reason of applying overseas and lots of overseas citizenship application stuff which is irrelevant to you. Then you write back to convince them to send your application back to regular processing department , because you are already back in Australia.
  2. You need a car . Everyone has a car in Adelaide. Public transport is terrible compared to Melbourne&Sydney . There is a Foodland in Henley Beach center ; overpriced though. So residents go to Aldi and Woolworths on Harbourtown . If you dont want a car, then Glenelg suits you better which has a village feel and has all kinds of shops, markets etc. and a direct tram to city .
  3. I already stated that it was a Moral obligation.
  4. I repeat , There is no state based residency requirement. Bylaw , a permanent resident can not be held on a specific area... The rest of what you are saying is completely irrelevant to the subject. State sponsored Pr holders can live wherever they want. it is only a moral obligation. I am already a citizen like so many others who did not stay in sponsored state.
  5. You are on 190 , so you are Permanent resident. You are not temprorary resident , so you can live wherever you want in Australia. That is your constutional right. Neither state nor Department of Immigration will check where you live and cancel your visa. This is is not like 489. Thousands of state sponsored PR holders have not even been to their sponsored state and granted citizenship whitout any problem.( including me ) There is a relevant thread on forum. please find and read it.
  6. Dont worry , I did not satisfy the 2 year residence requirement (SA sponsorand my citizenship application was approved and now waiting for the ceremony. No one asked anything about this any way. Because 2 year residence req is a moral obligation and not a legal obligation. You are a PR holder not a TR so no state can enforce you to stay on a specific place. I know So many people have not even been to the state thay they were sponsored and still granted citizenship without any hassle. As I said this is a moral obligation , once you get the PR , you are FREE. That's why Nortern territory and TASmania asking strong local references , job offer from Sponsorship applicants. So dont worry, I did not even report any of my adresses to state and they did not ask. They simply dont care , and so dont even ask for a permission to move out before fulfilling the 2 year req. They send you an automated angry but desperate mail . Thats all....
