  1. Nomination lodged late May 2016 and still waiting... The wait is ridiculously long. I wonder where our applications are in the queue.
  2. Thanks Samson for sharing. Does anyone know where those nomination and visa application lodged before 29 Aug go?
  3. Dear all, I would like to ask if it helps CO to confirm his/her decision if a 457 visa application is lodged before the nomination is approved? My situation is my boss lodged the nomination application in late May and received a request for more information in late June; we then have been waiting until now. My boss did not pass me the TRN as he is used to having the visa application lodgement only after the nomination is approved. The thing is, I read the following latest newsletter update on an agency website: Processing times and changes to caseload allocation The Department is undertaking a number of steps in an effort to reduce processing times. Under one such initiative, 457 processing will move to a “global allocation model” across the Department’s five processing centres. Associated nominations and visa applications will be allocated to one case officer at the same time. This is a move designed to improve consistency of decision-making as well as improving efficiency. So I wonder will nominations without relevant visa application noted are being put aside until the IMMI receives it, so that the CO can assess the case with all information at once. Grateful for your advice and comments. Many thanks, kieu
  4. Congratulations Dave! You have my best regards! Kieu
  5. Hi, mind sharing when your nomination was lodged and approved as well? Thanks.
  6. Hi Zhang, Good luck to you. Do you mind sharing your full timeline from nomination application? It would be good if you can tell us where you are heading to and what occupation it is. Thanks!
  7. Thank you for sharing, Dave. Best regards to your application. Sydney is the fastest group so far.
  8. Hi Dave, Yours seems pretty smooth and you will get it soon. Mind sharing your position and the city you are heading to?
  9. Waiting for my nomination approval since late May  You are not alone! Keep the faith!
  10. The current processing time has been raised to 50+ working days for CO to first look into your application and this is quite accurate unless your SBS company is accredited then you shouldn't wait for that long. So it is probably still quite early for the August batch. FYR, many applications lodged in early May were cleared from Aug 30 to mid Sep, so you can guess where the queue COs are generally about. Plus industrial action is going on this and next week, probably the processing time will be lengthened. Hope the information helps. Keep the faith!
  11. Thanks for your info. Mark. I feel more positive towards my nomination. At least I can assume the long wait may be due to my SBS company size.
  12. Thank you very much for your advice, Leanne. I talked to my bosses in late August about it and hope he would contact the Immi. It's hard for me to urge him doing so though. After all, he's the boss. Hope the nomination will go right.
  13. Hi claudiabbcm, when was your nomination application lodged?
  14. My sponsor company sponsored 457 before and it took only 2 months from nomination to the visa approval just last year. My boss lodged the nomination application in late May. The IMMI asked for additional documents in late June and no further updates since then. It's been four months now and this processing time doesn't seem normal. I am from LR country and the position is ICT Business Analyst in Melbourne. My position does not require a labour market testing in respect to the pay offered. I can't figure out the possibility for such a long processing time and wonder if the company size matters as my company is really a small one (20-50 employees). Grateful for any advice.
