  1. WE applied for 804 a coupe of years ago. the application was granted and we also got a BVA at the sme time as we were on a tourist visa the BVA was not valis intill the end date of the Tourist visa ran out We returned to the UK to finalise our arrangements to leave UK permanently but could not return as the visitors visa had now expired Over 2 years have now passed we are in the UK.........We have reapplied for a visitor visa which we now have so legal to enter Australia with no restrictions on it ..... Can we now re apply for a BVA to keep us legally in Australia permenantly will everything have just remained the same the 804 the right to have a BVA etc. advice really needed Please it would now be our intention to stay perminantly and wait out the 30 odd years.
  2. Hi Everyone We applied for 804 onshore and it was acknowledged within 4 days together with a Bridging Visa "A" this BVA did not come into use as we were on a E Visa (651) so BVA cannot come into force until this expired We returned to the UK and had problems with a sick relative so did not return quickly The E Visa expired and we were still in the uk a couple of months passed and so we applied for a new E Visa (651) which was granted with no conditions. that expires in April 2019 and we intend to hopefully renew it again and travel sometime this year What I wanted to ask would the BVA start at the end of this E Visa 651 on the expiry date......... or have we lost our right to the BVA therefore our application for the 804 We could not apply for a BV "B" as the original VV E Visa was still running
  3. A lot of agents feel that immigration will tidy up Parent Visa's and as one new one has just started (5year/10year) one that because of the estimated 30 year wait on the 804 that they will most probably curtail the 804 we are just worried as we are 6 months into the 804 that they will abolish it completely........ not just close it but nobody knows until it is announced Agents seem to be saying they will close it.
  4. About 1 week after we arrived.......applied and got our acknowledgment within 2 days plus a Bridging Visa A. Everybody expects the 804 to be stopped so apply as soon as you can while it is still available in my opinion
  5. On the 804 topic again we were given a BV"A" in May 2017 after our . 804 application was acknowledged. We traveled on our 651 Visitor Visa back to the UK and will return to OZ on the same 651 .VV before it expires end of March Will we need to reapply then for a re-instatement of B V "A" or does this automatically kick back in If we have to re apply who do we re apply to Det of Imm. or to Perth Parents centre any guidance on this would be gratefully received thanks
  6. To Nemesis did your husband not have his visa when he arrived in Australia why then did they then deny him a visa when there Are we talking about the 804 or a visa for a working age person The 804 is a Permanent Visa with work rights the |Bridging visa "A" which you get issed for 30years also has work rights should you use them a majority on the 804 Visa are over 65 and do not take this option up if they do they are not looking for a Good job they would be looking at a part time job to help with finances usually
  7. I agree Alan re the Healthcare section reciprocal is the same in Uk if you need it you get it if it is elective you dont same in Uk and same applies in Australia need it you get it. Our problem is what if they cap and cease whilst on the 30 year wait how can they implement the throwing out of hundreds of pensioners or expect them or their families to fund another dearer visa if they could have afforded that they would have done this initially I can understand them not taking any more applications from a certain date but to cancel existing applications is in= humane surely
  8. I understand all the implications of this visa and have already applied for it and all it entails my worry is should they cancel the 804 and having already moved lock stock and barrel we would not be able to return to Uk we have no other relatives to help us there we would be homeless as all our money would have have paid for our resettlement in Oz surley given the ages and the circumstances of the people on the type of visa and their inability to work due to age compassion would be taken into it what happened last time they stopped it did everyone go back and then they reopened it
  9. Can anyone advise us PLEASE... we have applied and been acknowledged our application now on a "A" visa Should they cap and cease this Visa within the 20-30 year period what happens to us if we are residing in Australia with no extra spare cash to upgrade to any other would w have No Rights at all all answers gratefully received
  10. Applied on shore in June for 804 Parents Visa received acknowledgement and Bridging Visa" A "within 2 days. We Returned to U.K.as we were on a Visitor Visa when we applied. will return to Australia before the Visitor Visa expires so the 804 kicks in and then stay untill we hear about Medicals. Question is ....... How long will wait for medicals 12-18 months from when we return after Visitor Visa expires and.... .Does the acknowledgement mean we are actually on the 804 waiting list or are we not even on the 804 waiting list Reason being worried about giving up our life in the UK for good if we are not yet "On the Road" we realize we have to get a medical at some stage in the 12 to 18 period and then be given a queue date. SHOULD we then wait in the UK on a Bridging Visa "B" untill these are asked for and do them here in UK and wait for a Queue date knowing then we wait for 20-30 years or move over now. we feel we wil have l no issues in Police clearancess and Medicals as we know it now but feel we need assurances we are on our way so to speak but cutting ourselves off from what security we have a UK Pensioners no houses to sell just us
  11. I would have thought that if they close either the remaining relatives or the 804 Aged Parents the ones who are already in the system would stay in the system they would just close it to new applicants after all they have taken your money and therefore it would illegal to say sorry cashed your money now no visa would it not I think they would just close it to new applications
  12. Can anyone clarify that under this visa remaining relative if you do this on shore can you work and I expect you would need medical Ins therefore for an oldie like us we would be better on a 804 with 30 years wait rather than50
  13. Hi What visa was that for please how ere you able to do police checks so quickly and Medicals Are you do these on shore or off shore thanks Maureen
