  1. i don't think he meant it in a bad or discriminatory way. i can see your frustration, just cheer up, this is not the end, you should get your reward soon. out of interest, did you do an undergrad or postgrad in Australia? did you apply through an accounting firm? did you get your CPA? did you have to take the ielts test? if so, how much did you get? why didn't you apply through usual skilled immigration back in 2014 instead of choosing to wait 2 years? wasn't it easier back then for accountants? i have mates like you top graduates with impeccable English test and qualification got it reasonably easily and quickly through 2014 to even last year via just skilled immigration. it's still possible. me on the other hand, just couldn't get through the English test.
  2. wow, is this the longest wait on this forum, what's your details if you don't mind me asking, occupation, DE or TRT, ect. you should really get your agent to contact immigration
  3. for those who's been waiting since 2016 (long time), there is must be something dodgy with the application that they couldn't approve straightaway, but they wouldn't tell you what's exactly wrong. what's the chance of application refusal in the end? are they just waiting for us to give up ourselves? is there a point keeping waiting?
  4. do you work for an accounting firm? did they request skill assessment, i.e. licensing/registration from you at all?
  5. doesn't cpa skill assessment require 4x7 in ielts? also, if they are not giving out the invitation, does it mean that the quota for this year for accountant has been filled? and they won't process any application until the new financial year? i.e. 1st july 2018
  6. This is extremely unfair. if they knew there was problem with the application, i.e. working hours, they should have told you immediately the first time they looked at your application, rather than leaving you hanging for 18 months before refusing the visa. this is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. I have a feeling that they are doing it on purpose, it's a total disgrace for the government to treat people like that. They can refuse me the visa, it's not a big deal, there are so many other countries i can go use my skills and be happy, but toying with people's life and career, the government has no heart.
  7. restaurant turnover 1.5m, didn't know there is limitation like that, is 1.5m not sufficient to sponsor employee for immigration? is the same restaurant sponsoring both you and your colleague? is your colleague DE as well? when did the refusal happen, long time ago?
  8. Interesting that you opt 186 transitional rather than 189 for skilled immigration as an accountant. isn't 189 quicker and no wait? what skill assessment did you use for general accountant? is your employer an accounting firm?
