  1. Sorry for asking Aussiepr, did your status changed to "Assessment in Progress" when you submitted the additional documents? I just got confused, isn't it when they request for additional documents, you will know the case officer that requested it? Sorry the ENS thread is so long already.
  2. Very much understand and comprehend with your frustration....I was asked 2x for additional info/documents....that took 7.5 months to make a visa decision..I made follow ups both with my processing centre and DIBP even if I haven't even finished with my 28 days time frame. I have sent emails left and right, not as a direct follow up on the stats of my application but to tell them that I have already attached the additional dox to my immi account. In that way I am indirectly making a follow up as well. I told myself that I need to make a little bit of noise so that my application will get noticed once again. I guess they would like to do the easy to handle applications first, you know those with short experience, those who did not travel a lot, those without children, and those cases that are not so complicated...you know these are the ones that don't need extra documents...just my thoughts.
  3. You will get your visa...if not today...maybe tomorrow....but definitely it will come....I felt desperate when my visa approval took very long......I have thought of crazy things as a fallback just in case my visa will not be approved...like apply for visa 189 (which I will reach the pass mark) or try the state nomination (where my skill is in CSOL not SOL)....I am not a 457 transition and options were very limited. Future was very unclear especially when you have young kids with you, but luckily my prayers were heard...and have etched out my family's future in Australia. DIBP do outright rejection if they find something wrong with your application which relates to health, criminal history, among others. I got a friend who's visa 189 got disapproved though he was given 28 days to reply. This is in regards to health issue. What I am trying to say here, they have not find anything wrong with your visa application....or else they should have already made a decision by now...and let's keep our fingers crossed.....you'll get it....
  4. Yeah same experience...I was asked for a Police certificate from Saudi Arabia where I worked 10 years ago...but in lieu of that, I presented my Entry visas, exit visa, statutory declaration, letter from the company....and everything had to be translated to English, costed me $56/ document. Good that I'm through with all the visa application....those times were tough:-)
  5. Children.....children.....let's stop this argument.....let's just respect each others' choices and decisions.....if people want to use MA, let them....if people find it comfortable to do the application themselves, so be it....but remember, at the end of the day you have to stand by the choice that you make. We define things differently. What's hard for someone doesn't mean to say it's gong to be hard for everyone. What's complicated for some, can be simple for others. We are all different :-)
  6. It's the other way around, Employer Nomination is a lot easier than the Visa application. I say this because I helped my HR Manager to fill out the online forms, I was even sitting next to him completing it. I was even there when he created the ImmiAccount, I've seen almost all the info that were entered. Visa application on the other hand is more complicated, though you are correct saying that when you do research, you can do it yourself.....as I have done it all by myself. I didn't want to get a MA as I know they will charge me a lot and I wanted to save money and maybe because I trusted myself that I can do it....and I did it alright;-) but anyways Mila88, just carry on with your journey, the important thing is that your nomination is already approved....you're in the second stage already.....you'll get there for sure....
  7. Yes it is sometimes hard to understand the logic behind all the requests and we seem to go round and round in circles....but bottomline, we have to give them what they wanted....it's the rule (and the only rule) of the game, they ask and we provide.... our role is just to wait and wait and wait........why do they ask? they might just like to match data relating to your employment...10 years seem to be long, contacts may not even be the same.....
  8. That's a good sign Binita, requesting dox would only mean that they're just want to make clarification on your application and if you provide what they needed, then nothing to worry. Yours will be very very soon. If you won't receive any news this week, better give Immi a call. If you received an email with regards to the additional documents, the processing centre will definitely be written on it and the name of your CO, you might think of giving them a call as well if you want.
  9. Yes I got the same request for an employment 10 years ago.....but they asked for "letter from employer"....very broad definition but I just submitted a certificate of employment which I was able to keep.
  10. In my case, I answered "No" for my wife as I was the one (principal applicant) that was being sponsored. My wife and kids are all listed in my employer nomination. Must be I've done it right as I was not questioned about it.
  11. Don't worry I'm sure your application will be approved soon. You know sometimes out of frustration, people say not so many too good things. I felt the same thing when my PR visa application (Aug 2015) wasn't approved yet and Sept application has already started. My patience was really out of control but I just focused my thoughts on something else and after some time the wait finally ended and everything went pleasant. Just hang on there and keep the communication with the Immigration open, you know just to let them know that you are waiting. When I called on DIBP after 7.5 months of wait, they told me hmmmm.....your application has been a while now...and after a week, I got my PR. After I was asked 2x for additional documents, I was expecting them to request for a third time... you know, I sort of played with their game and just like any other game there will always a winner, and that will be us.
  12. Was the 2nd charge a requirement from your CO? My wife was requested for a proof of English ability and we just provided a letter from the school registrar stating that the medium of instruction was English, plus the school transcript (4 yr course). This document was accepted as we got our PR. Luckily we didn't go to that 2nd charge as I heard it is expensive.
  13. Mine was not the case, it never had the green tick but when the CO requested for additional docs, everything went green. Then from that day on, the additional docs that I submitted automatically get green tick. Must be a case to case basis.
