  1. We are in the process of moving to Aus and since being a part of this forum I have had lots of peoples help, opinions, advice etc and yes they are all different and everyone has tried to give you their answer to your question, you just don't seem to like it unless you get war and peace off people and I've read all the pages and so far do not think anyone has tried to belittle your question. You are coming across as someone who was bored decided to join a forum and then become all high and mighty with your replies which is exactl what you asked people NOT to do in your question. Maybe accept everyones opinions/comments or don't ask any questions at all. Sorry if you don't like this reply but I have loved every part of being on this forum since joining and have received/learned very insightful facts/knowledge and help off the members and have been grateful for all of it, whether it be sarcastic or not it all had relevance.
  2. I would be interested as I have millions of questions haha we have never been but have family members living there and are in the process of trying to take the plunge and move there so would be good to meet like minded people and swap notes etc and hopefully form new friendships for Aus
  3. AAAHHHH this is what is freaking me out, I can deal with them being in the house as you can run away and get someone else to remove it from the house, but the fact they get in your car I can't cope with because your a prisoner there is nowhere to go, nothing to do, other than scream like a banshee and most likely cause a pile up with other cars in your panic hahaha
  4. We're not sure which part we are going to at the minute we have completed the skills assessment visa and as far as I am aware (my husband has sorted all the visa out too complicated for me ha) we await to see if we receive a job offer in order to get there, so its a waiting game for us at the minute
  5. Is that the white tail? Are they not the most deadliest ones, and it was in your back garden :err:
  6. Thanks Bobj ijust love that picture NOT haha I am aware that there are deadly spiders and that caution will need to be used, but I didn't want to be constantly checking my bed. where I sit, opening cupboards etc etc etc I'm guessing there will be at last one or two living in my garden when we get over there but I've been told to reside near the sea as there are hardly any there???
  7. Just jumping in on this post, whilst everyone is saying what they didn't expect before you arrived in Australia, can anyone tell me how bad the spider's are over there?? We are in the waiting process now for our skilled visa and I keep hearing horror stories about how bad the dangerous spiders are with coming into your home etc!! Is it as bad as the stories I'm hearing??
  8. We did an online app on the National Visas Website and did a preliminary online application which stated whether we would get one or not and it stated that we would be approved if we completed the full online process which we are currently sat doing now.
  9. Thats amazing, but I haven't got a visa yet, we are in the process of applying for it now, we have passed the online application
  10. My husband is talking about hiring a 40ft shipping container and fitting as much of our house into as possible and then at least the money has been spent then before getting there and it will take the pressure off having to find things when we are there, then anything we don't need or doesn't fit into the house when we get there we can sell
  11. It's Point Cook that we are going to x
  12. Thanks for all the advice it's all really helpful to know especially about the little things that you wouldn't think about, I wouldn't have thought about coat hangers etc x
  13. Hi, we are in the process of getting visas to move over and I have a family member who moved over there, came back and is going back again and he stated to take as much furniture with us as possible. I can't bring wardrobes and I don't want to bring my bed I would prefer a new one so was just wondering where the best place to buy furniture is that won't be too expensive? We will be moving to Victoria area if that helps. thanks
  14. Hi, Is that process of becoming a Prison Officer the same even if you are already one in the Uk, are the skills not transferable and would get you straight to the interview stage rather than all the other stages that you've already done?
