I have been asked by immigration to provide a court order within 28 days saying I have sole parental responsibility. This seems highly unlikely I will be able to obtain this. I sent a stat dec from a solicitor stating sole parental responsibility. I am now in contact with my sons father and he is willing to sign form 1229 giving permission but i am unsure if this is the correct form and unclear what a certified copy of his passport is? Realistically he has no parental responsibility so I'm not sure what good getting him to sign this form would do as it's meant to be for a parent with parental responsibility.

As I said before he doesn't have any parental rights to refuse. He would need to apply for those rights from a court which I am confident he wont and confident he would not be awarded rights.

He has sporadically paid £2 a week maybe ten times in 12 years. He said he wasnt sure what the Australian authorities are asking for. He is saying he can do a declaration saying I have sole parental responsibility in Scotland and there are no access arrangements/court orders but he is not sure that will suffice

Morning, I have ten days left to put my Visa application in and I am struggling to find a solicitor who can do a statutory declaration saying I have sole parental responsibility. My sons dad is not on his birth certificate nor were we ever married. He has no access or court orders in place. I've asked the father to sign the statutory declaration but he is refusing to do so. Can anyone advise exactly what I would need to do/what documents i need to prove sole parental responsibility. Thanks in advance

We have an Australian AQF Level 3 in Carpentry and Joinery but Skill select have not awarded us any points for that qualification. I think nakney was awarded 10 points for his AQF.

I withdrew my EOI and resubmitted today changing the education details and still have not been awarded the 10 points for AQF in carpentry and joinery. I'm at a loss ?

Can anyone help please. I have completed skills assessment and put in EOI but I am not being awarded the 10 points for my skills. I have put my aqf in as a qualification and skills assessment and neither is granting me the points. Any help greatly appreciated. It is clearly something I am doing wrong and there are no contact details for help from skill select ?

Not solved yet woody I will keep you posted. I am almost certain it is because I have filled in the EOI incorrectly. Thanks nakney I have passed but nothing received in the post as yet and the outcome letter via pdf I cannot access, I've emailed vetassess about that.

None, because the next page asks about a skills assessment? Im a time served joiner so have no formal qualification except now the skills assessment

Adelaide, South Australia. And at the end of the EOI it said I had 45 points for 189, 50 for 190 and 55 for 489. When I looked at the points awarded breakdown no points were awarded for skills assessment. I applied a few hours ago. ?

Can anyone help please? I have just submitted an expression of interest for which I should have 60 points but for some reason I have not been awarded 10 points for skills after passing vetassess carpenter joiner assessment. I may have incorrectly filled in the form. Any help greatly appreciated thanks in advance

Hi all, I would greatly appreciate any advice on what do do in order to get to adelaide. At the beginning of the process don't really know where to start. Current situation: myself 25, time served joiner of 10 years, My wife 31, bachelors degree in business studies, currently a team leader for large supermarket in UK. Two children. One age 9 one age 16. Wife's family live in adelaide and we were considering a family sponser but are they considered my family if they are in laws? As my trade is the route we were hoping to follow, due to my wife's occupation not being on the required skills list for SA. Thanks in anticipation Bryson.
