  1. I agree with you there. But it's if the lockdown gets extended. Anna mentioned it will be at least til Monday 6pm but could be longer. But it's still no reason to clear the shelves.
  2. Definitely the right thing to do. Get in top of it straight away. Don't forget this strain of covid spreads much quicker than the NSW/VIC strain. Yes what's 3 days. Leaving it to spread would put us in a much harder position. Don't need premiers like Andrews who dither and leave things too late.
  3. Hi Tommy. The assessment is all the paperwork needed to submit. After this has been approved you will then be invited for the practical. I did mine about 13 years ago. I was like you apprehensive as I was 43 when I took the practical. It was all pretty straightforward and the assessors were very helpful. There not there to catch you out or anything. So long as you know a bit of everything you'll be fine. Cheers Greg
  4. Yes definitely prefer the heat and blue skies of Qld. Absolutely hated the British weather. Day after day of cold grey skies. Always wanted an outdoor lifestyle and Qld is perfect for 9 months of the year. The winter months are ok but quite cool.
  5. Hi Carl. I'm in Brisbane. Get in touch with these ..https://www.tradesrecognitionaustralia.gov.au/programs/electrician-general-and-electrician-special-class
  6. I'd forget NSW especially north of Sydney. I like the Sunshine coast. That would be my pick .We just live over the bridge from you in Redcliffe. This ticks all our boxes. We have a large private garden which is so peaceful. Hervey bay.. yeah it's ok. But I couldn't live there. Far to quiet and apart from Fraser Island there's nothing to do there. Have you thought about Bribie . Houses will be more reasonable there. Plus it'll be peaceful.
  7. I was going to say the same thing. Sydney is one of the least laid back places.Been once never again.
  8. I agree. Have plenty of money behind you. It took myself and wife nearly a year to secure employment. We got through about $90,000 in that time.Do not underestimate it.

    Racq is 24 hours.
  10. Don't know where you lived in Australia. But we do all those here . Plus better weather to enjoy them. All my 3 children came over when they were younger. They are independent adults now and are always out enjoying all the things you mentioned and more. Much more than you could do in the UK. A so much better lifestyle all year round. Unless you like pubs then yes the UK might be better.
  11. I must have been lucky. I took the day off and I was paid personal leave.
  12. Hi,it seems like your not getting a good signal which is a common problem. What you need to do is get a booster (amplifier)fitted to the coaxial cable coming from the aerial...problem fixed
