  1. Thank you so much Marisa, that's very helpful indeed
  2. Hi everyone, I would appreciate some advice. I moved to Australia on a 190 visa two years ago. I'm moving back to the UK next week. In the two years here, I have spent about 6 weeks overseas in total (at different times). Someone mentioned to me that you have to live here for two years continuously for the option to have the PR visa extended in case I choose to return. Will my 6 weeks overseas reduce the time I lived here? Is it worth staying back for 6 weeks to gain that time back? Also, how often does one need to return, in order to ensure that your PR visa isn't cancelled? Thank you in advance
  3. Hi Abey, I did wonder if you had got yours. Sorry to hear it's taken so long. Hang in there, I'm sure it's not too long to go now.
  4. Hi, I'd go with 2 E0I's. As the previous poster said. if your job is listed as schedule 2 in WA then you must already have a job offer/contract in WA. Bear this in mind before you lodge the EOI for WA. Good luck
  5. Hi there, My cousin applied for this visa and she was put on a bridging visa, which she has been on for the last 3 years. Her daughter is able to attend school, but school is not free for her, she has to pay international fees, which is extortionate!
  6. Congratulations Laura! That's wonderful news! Seems that this is the week for 190 visas to be granted so fingers crises everyone waiting to hear gets some positive news soon ??
  7. Thank you so much! Fingers crossed you hear a positive decision really soon
  8. Hi all, Just to let you know, I got granted my 190 visa today! In absolute shock, I was expecting a wait of at least 3 months. I lodged a month ago, and only uploaded my documents a week ago! No contact from case officer...straight to grant. Feel so overwhelmed. So, just wanted to give you all hope if you are waiting to hear back about a 190 visa, it seems that they are processing them quite quickly. Good luck everyone
  9. Thanks Laura and Maggie. Yes, it definitely sounds like a good idea to have the form completed and ready in case a CO asks for it.
  10. Hi guys, Can someone please explain what a form 80 and 1221 is? I lodged a 190 a few days ago, and wondering if I should fill those and keep them ready, just in case?

    IELTS expiry

Hello everyone, I am hoping someone can advise me on this...I am currently uploading my supporting documents for my application and just realised my IELTS expires in 2 days Does the IELTS have to be valid at the time the application was submitted or does it have to be valid when I arrive in Australia? Thank you
  13. Thanks Ken - that's great to know. What at about the fact that PR was granted on her marital name, which is the name on her passport, and she will now probably revert to her maiden name?
  14. Hi, Posting this on behalf of a friend. She has PR visa as a dependant of her husband who is on a 189 visa. They have made their first entry and she was due to join him in Australia soon. Unfortunately, they are now divorcing - is she still able to move to Australia as a permanent resident?
