Hi guys, I was wondering if there's anyone on here who has any experience with couchsurfing? Any tips or advice would be fab, I've been looking into it for a while and it sounds like it could work for me but it's always best to check with people who have done it before Thanks! x

I've not anything booked yet and no dates set in stone as I've just started a new job to get enough money and it all depends on the dreaded finances! I'd love to meet and stay in contact once I'm there though, it's always easier when you know someone even a little!! If you private message me we can maybe exchange facebooks? x

@Sam Clapham Thanks! I'm trying not to plan too much and to just see what happens once I get there! I'm going to fly into Sydney first though as I've found a flight at the right price. Thanks for the advice on the Greyhound buses, I can definitely see myself using them:) And I'll look at gumtree too, thank you!! x

@Ceej1994 Yeah I'll definitely keep you updated with where I'm staying! I was the same, going solo was something I'd never considered but i got fed up of waiting for someone i knew to want to come with me! And I've not had any opportunities for solo travel before so this is all an entirely new experience for me which is really exciting! X
