Hi MaggieMay24 Thank you for much for the response I really appreciate it. So effectively, my partner (main 457 holder) will be unable to work unless we find a new sponsor? This is highly unlikely which means he will be unable to actually work until our PR visa is granted? But you say that I (defacto on his 457 visa) can continue to work with my current employer as long as a bridging visa is in place? Could I ask - are bridging visas automatically granted? If so, If our 457 visa is cancelled after the bridging visa is automaticaly granted, do we need to advice DIBP or is it all automatic? Sorry for all the questions, I would really appreciate any answers you have!

Could someone PLEASE offer advice, If made redundant on a 457 Visa (but your EOI for 189 PR Visa is lodged and you are likely to have your visa application lodged before your 457 is cancelled) woudl you be offered a bridging visa? If so, what working rights does the bridging visa have? Would it mean the 457 holder have to find a role in the same position as the cancelled 457 visa? Also, would the defacto/spouse on the 457 visa have working rights and still be able to continue working on a bridging visa? Any help much appreciated

Hello everyone, I am in the process of filling in Form 80 (electronically). I will need more than the 1 page for additional information. i am using Adobe Adobe PRO but due to the form being protected, I can't copy and paste. Can anyone advise what to do? I don't suppose you can offer advice on my other post query, haven't had any responses as yet and really want to lodge EOI tonight...basically is it OK to only mention relevant work experience that has been positively assessed on the EOI form or should you give full 10 year history and tick unrelevant to those that are not. Happy Thursday all! We are wanting to submit our EOI tonight after finally receiving all info needed.... My question is, the form requests 10 year work history for the employment history section. Do we ONLY enter the work episodes that Engineers Australia (assessing body) have positively assessed and click "relevant" to all? OR Do we enter full 10 year work history and only click "relevant" on what Engineers Australia assessed? Would it ever be the case that DIAC ask for evidence etc for employment episodes you have ticked as "not relevant"?? Our worry is this will happen and we would not have sufficient evidence to prove. If the case is that only relevant employment is considered - what would be the point of entering any non relevant experience?? To match form 80 perhaps?? Any advice is appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have NO bills in my name and all my bank statements are online. I can download and a print an online statement but do they accept this?? The only other thing I have is proof of direct debit for a recent gym membership. Could you please tell me what you sent as proof of address and if you had any issues?! Thanks so much! Hey Lorna, Thanks so much for the reply, I really appreciate it. It's amazing to hear your visa was granted in 4 weeks! We have received our positive skills assessment and just waiting on relevant skilled employment assessment to come back...forgot that the 1st time Have looked at the Immi website and all seems pretty straightforward with medicals. Could I please ask how long it took from registering with health declarations to actually having the results back?? Char x

We are about to submit our EOI for a 189 visa... It clearly states for the visa you need a Current, Valid Passport. I have a UK passport but it expires in less than 12 months. I was holding off having it renewed as im getting married in a year and wanted to change my name. Will immigration, medicals etc accept a passport with this amount left on it?? Im reading somewhere it has to be 2 years? Would it matter if we submit the EOI (my fiance is the main applicant) with one passport number and then change the passport number on the medicals/application???

Hello everyone! We are close to lodging our EOI for a 189 visa (currently in Oz on a 457 visa). We want to speed up the process as much as possible and was looking for advice on medicals. At what stage should we be booking these? Ideally we want to upload results as part of the visa application, not wait for a CO to ask us. Is this possible? How do we know where to book/which medicals etc? Any advice is SO appreciated!

Any recommendations? We have all the necessary documents to proceed with our EOI (positive skills assmnt, IELTS etc) I have serious doubts on an aspect of the EOI and would really appreciate guidance. TIA!
