  1. Great reply Bungo . My argument doesnt seem to have any point now. If so, I have another question now, If I include my defacto partner and upcoming child as a subsequent entrant, do they have to follow all 489 visa requirements? Well, my partner will be off work for another year because of the baby and I will be almost finishing my work and regional stay requirement. So, I don't know how that works. I don't know how many years it will take our whole family to complete the requirement of regional stay and work? Does that make sense. Cheers.
  2. I don't have trouble declaring them, which I will but I am just thinking not to include them as a subsequent entrant. I know it may sound dumb but I don't want to get any hassle at this stage as I am almost a year with my 489 visa working full time and will complete my 2 years next year in September. The other thing is my defacto partner is not included on my 489 visa as her NZ special category visa is better off than my 489 visa as she gets medicare but my visa doesn't and we didnt had enough money to include her as well at that stage. Now, I am thinking, I will just finish up my 489 requirement and get my residency and go through spouse later as it would be less hassle rather than going through subsequent entrant at this stage. I don't know whether just declaring would be enough?
  3. Thanks for the reply Bungo. My point is I don't want to include anybody if its possible before I get my PR? We are having a baby so I was concerned whether DIBP wants me to include the baby in my visa even though the baby will be a NZ citizen by descent.
  4. Hi All, I currently hold a 489 visa for NSW and I will have fulfilled my requirements by September 2016. I am living with my defacto partner although she is not included in 489 visa as she is a non protected NZ citizen on a special category visa and now we are expecting a baby in August 2015. My question is: 1) After the baby is born, do I need to notify the DIBP if I don’t want the baby to be included in 489 visa as the baby will be an NZ citizen from her mother. My idea is to get permanent residency first for myself without any hassle and then go through obtaining a partner visa for my defacto partner and baby to gain PR if that’s possible? What’s your opinion – do you think it’s better to include the partner and baby or just the baby on my 887 application or wait until I have PR? Thanks in advance!!
