  1. Hi Guys So my nomination was finally approved on the 28/8/15, I completed my Medicals on 3/9/15 and was advised by my agent that I should be looking at around a week for approval of my visa. Nearly a month has passed now with no news...even he has commented that this is "very strange" and has emailed them to pursue the matter but says he won't again until after 6 months from my application (Nov). Everyone I know has had their visa approved within 1 - 2 weeks of taking their Medicals and I am really starting to wonder what is going on. Am I panicking unnecessarily? Could there be a problem with my results (34 and fit / healthy)? What potentially could be holding this up?! I've been waiting a very long time for this visa and have at many points thought it may never happen...hence my worry! Any advice much appreciated!

  3. Sorry, to clarify, I do have reciprocal Medicare cover, hopefully that means that I did not breach the conditions of my visa. I have not actually been asked for it by Immigration, but from my MA. The application was only recently lodged and there were a few things that needed to be added on, so hopefully it was just a formality. She is currently away, hence the reason I posted here rather than asking her directly. It worried me as by the way I read the requested it seemed like she expected me to have private cover...
  4. So, and I just asked this in my own thread, when you come to make a PR application - in my case a ENS 186, do you just sign up for health insurance again, as this is a requirement from DIAC for the application. I cancelled my insurance as I had reciprocal Medicare, but now need to show health insurance for the 186 application. Can I get into any trouble for having let this happen?
  5. Hi I need advice, I allowed my private health insurance to lapse while on a 457 and i'm now applying for my 186, but immigration want me to show evidence of insurance :chatterbox:. What should I do? I've never needed any treatment etc that would require it since i've been here - just sign up for a new policy, or perhaps try and restart the old one. I'm pretty worried that this could ruin my whole application!?! Any advice appreciated - maybe some of you have found yourself in this boat before... Thanks
