  1. did you intend to write any info? nothing was downloaded....
  2. My application went in in April.... just me and my wife.... Got solicitor to sign documents £5 each they have to put their number on so immi can check them out. Yes send your application to your sponsor they fill in a form 40 and then post it on to the Perth office. Re the first fee.... just fill in you credit card details on the application form, Immi will take the fee and you will pay the credit card charges and the currency exchange rate . Ours cost about £2500 for the 2 of us but it just comes through on your credit card statement as if you had been on holiday and use your credit card abroad. As you probably know but don't want to believe the second amount payable just before your visa is granted is $46300 for each adult don't know about kids.....then the fees for medicals police reports .....
  3. Hi, can't give you any info for your mum but could you help me. We too are waiting for our CPV very early days for us, our application went in in April and the first application fee was taken at the end of April but we have had no correspondence with the Immigration service up to now. How advanced is your application, what was your timeline..... just want to get some idea really and a little more precise than 12 to 24 months....Ray
  4. Thanks Ruth..... It's what I thought but a few solicitors we contacted said we needed a Notary to do it ( loads of money ). Around here the going rate is £5-£6 per item. Ray
  5. Hi there, very early days for our CPV application, all ready to send it but getting conflicting info on "who can certify our documents" birth, marriage certificates etc. Can anyone who has applied and been granted a CPV let us know who did theirs please. Regards Ray.
