I am a nurse myself which i why i can get the Visa. My parents have alot of equity from their house. Their mortgage payments finish in June and so the house is theirs then. They want to move themselves once my sister has finished her midwifery studies. I was just wondering if they could come over on mine ... obviously not the case so they would have to get a 148.... all these visas are so confusing!! x

My parents mortgage finishes this June but they wont be able to move over for approx 3 years once i have been there for 2 years. They will make a bit of money from their mortgage but i just think the price of the visa is a joke!! especially when they have family living a working in the country xx

Hii I am currently planning on applying for a skilled 189 Visa (Sorry i know this is far fetched but this is the only thing stopping me from emigrating) I am a nurse and want to move out in Jan2016 with my partner. The only thing stopping me is my parents. They want me to go but i dont think i can leave them if they cant follow me out there. They will both be over the age of 50 and both with no skill. People have told me that i cant sponsor them on my 189 so ive been researching about the subclass 143. I know this visa would be many years down the line but if they cant get that then i dont think i could pluck up the courage to move. Has anyone else been in this situation? and has anyone applied for the sublass 143?? Ive been researching cost ... wow!! how are people affording this visa?? my parents have a mortgage which will soon be paid off this year and so will own their house but seriously am i seeing correctly that its around £25k (english) per person for this visa??? Thanks for anyones help in advance! Just hoping someone gives me the slightest bit of good news as i really want to emigrate!!

Rigging sounds really good, he has mentioned that before! hes a money grabber so i dont think he really cares about what career he goes into. hes just coming over on my visa. Is rigging hard to get into or are they looking for workers alot over there? Thanks

My sister is doing a Midwifery degree so i know she will be fine to follow me out ... its just my parents! im very very close to them so its a bit gutting knowing they cant move out with me ... putting me off applying all together :sad: xx

Silly question but is there a list anywhere online of all the things i need to apply for? Im going to an Expo at the end of March so im sure i will be told all of this then but im just trying to be ontop of things coz i cant wiat till march to get the ball rolling ha thanks xx

Hii, im looking to start my Visa application shortly (skilled 189) Can anyone give me a rough idea of the total cost? im a nurse and so have to also pay for my certificates to be validated aswell etc. Any nurses out there that can give me a rough idea? Thanks in advance =)

Hii, Im looking at moving over to Aus in Jan2016 on a 189. My Parents will be staying in the UK whilst my sister continues with her studies but then hoping to follow me over when she has finished. Can my parents come over to Aus on my Visa as they will both be over 50 at the time (50 and 55) and both with no skill. My mum is a nursey nurse and has qualifications but i dont think this is classed as a 'skill' Has anyone else been in this situation? and its the only thing thats making me doubt the move hence why i still havnt applied for my visa. Thanks for the Reply! The skill for the visa would be coming from myself anyway as a nurse but i think he is hoping to continue his scaffolding over in Aus, we will have to look into the qualifications and training for him. Thanks for your help =)

Hi everyone Im asking on behalf of my partner We are aiming to emigrate to Perth in January 2016 He is a scaffolder just about to do his part one (next month) hoping that by January he will be on his part2. Are there any scaffolders out in perth? if so how easy is it to get a job out there? will he struggle or are scaffolders wanted in that area? is it possible to get a job whilst still in the UK or do they prefer face-to-face interviews?
