  1. Great advice, thanks. Looks like we'll be shoe shopping for sure. I hate to sell our washer and dryer but it sounds like it's not going to work so I'll get those listed on craigslist. Thanks
  2. OOOOO Dang, Mexican food is my favorite and I make some killer fish tacos. I guess I'll just have to make my own salsa. When we were in Noosa we ate at a little Mexican place. Definitely not the same as here but close enough when I'm going through withdrawals
  3. Thanks for the info. I have to bring a bunch of my office equipment with me to start a new chiropractic center. Since I have to put it on a container anyways we thought we'd just pack that thing full of the rest of the household items we love the most. Computers, tablets and phones are coming for sure. HUMMMM ...... Maybe it's time to get that new Galaxy S6 after all! What about washers and dryers? Ours is HUGE (we have 4 kids) Is it worth it to bring them or do they just not fit/work there? I'm really sad to have to sell my home theater system but that's the price you pay I guess. What else do you all wish someone had told you to bring? Like 10 new pairs of Nikes or what?
  4. Hey Ali, Ya, I guess I should have mentioned it Sure do appreciate the comment though, anything helps.
  5. Be happy to. The best quote we got was from International Van Lines. http://internationalvanlines.com/ Good luck ya'll.
  6. Call me an overachiever or maybe I'm just very excited but our house is all packed up, inventoried, boxes are labeled, things are bubble wrapped and we are ready to just move it to a container. Can you say air mattress and paper plates! We actually found a company that is going to drop off a container, leave it for the weekend, give us all of the document needed and deliver it to our rental destination in Queensland to be unloaded by us. Not too bad on the price I thought. $5250 for a 20 ft container. We're leaving all electronics and just bringing the basics so it should all fit. (fingers crossed)
  7. Hey guys, We were just granted our PR visa and are looking at getting our household items shipped to Queensland. I'm trying to find a shipping company to bring a 20 foot container to my house, let me fill it and then do the same thing once it gets to Queensland. Please tell me that one of you has done this already and can recommend a shipping company. I've been looking all over the place and have only been able to find movers that want to come in my house and pack everything for me. HELP!!!
  8. Hey bud, Just got my PR Visa so it looks like we'll be headed to Noosa area sometime in the month of June if all works as planned. I'll have to look you up!
  9. Absolutely! I'm a positive thinker I wasn't expecting a reply by then but it never hurts to be hopeful! Yours will come soon. Where are you headed?
  10. DIRECT GRANT YA'LL!!! I knew! I had that lovin' feelin'. The email came in at 5:53pm Pacific Standard Time. Good luck to every one of you!
  11. Hey ya'll! The grants are flowing  I'm feeling good about today..... Come on baby! Golden ticket, golden ticket, golden ticket ...... Think positively.
  12. Damn (hanging my head in deep depression)
  13. Holy crap! Did ya'll notice that someone on the tracker from the 15th was contacted! OOOOOOHHHHHHH....... Come one baby! Maybe tonight??? That would be a sweet way to kick off an Easter weekend!
  14. I'm sure we'll be fine. They were handing them out like parade candy and there was that big jump this week from the end of Jan all the way to the 12th of Feb. I'll bet they process all the way to the 19th or even 20th by next Tuesday night. We're good, We're good .....I'll just keep telling myself that
  15. You all are making me nervous with all this talk of Visa Caps and slowing things down I'm just going to pretend I've never heard any of this, bury my head in the sand and fully expect a direct grant come Monday morning upon waking. I already have my happy dance all planned out!
  16. Ya, I'm an American/Canadian (dual Citizenship). It sounds like the life for sure. I'll have to look you guys up when we get there and we'll do a BBQ. My wife and I have 4 kids we're bringing with us. We are all scuba divers and like to fish, camp, 4x4 and spend a lot of time outdoors. We love Noosa for the active outdoor lifestyle. We're hoping to get our visa in the next few weeks and then move over in June or July. Can't wait! We sure have a good life here in The States but are looking to have a new adventure.
  17. Alright guys! February has to have rolled around by now... We should be seeing Feb approvals any minute! Who's going to be first???
  18. YES IT"S WORKING! HEAVEN! Thanks so much:wink:
  19. I just get a blank page now
  20. YES PLEASE!!! Please reset the access so we can view this document. Thanks
  21. Lopindo, Thanks for all of the info. We can't wait to get there and get going. Can you tell me about the lifestyle? I have imagined this fanciful, board shorts and flip flops life there in Noosa. (that's how it was on vacation there) and I'm wondering how long that feel lasts. Do you still go for strolls on the beach? What do you and your family do for fun? Have you been 4x4ing on the north shore area? Have you tried out the local golf courses? I know work is going to be work and life (school, sports and the rest of normal life) goes on as usual but ..... How's the rest of it, the reason for moving to Noosa? Everything you thought it would be???
  22. Lopindo, Hey we are expecting a grant in the next 3 weeks or so and are looking at moving to the Noosa area. What has your experience been like thus far? We are binging 4 children ages 17yof, 13yom, 11yom and 9yom. Any feedback on areas to live or what schools you like would be SWEET!
  23. Hey guys, Is it just me or does it seem like there are less than half the amount of Feb applicants as Jan? I know the spreadsheet has a lot fewer February applicants and that isn't probably a good indicator of the overall number of applicants in any given month but it does seem like there are fewer of us. Maybe we'll process through more quickly once we get all of these Januarys out of the way. ???? Here's to wishful thinking!!!!
