Thanks so much for your help. We checked the calculator and had a brief chat with an 'expert' who confirmed that we would have the points to move due to my husbands job. We travelled around Oz 10 years so know we don't won't to be in the heart of the city with too much hustle and bustle but equally don't won't to be totally out of touch. It's so difficult to actually pin point the exact location to move to. With young kids the work life balance and health care is top priority. Walking distance to a beach would be an added bonus as would new experiences etc.

We are at the early stages of planning so advice on where the place to go is welcomed. We would move to where the work is and good schools as have two children at primary school. It has been suggested that we can plan ourselves others have said use a specialist.we are looking to go to a exhibition about moving to oz soon. It's quite over whelming and not sure how to start?

What's the reality of finding carpentry work likely to be? Also how much better/worse off is the difference in wage v living compared to south coast England?

Hi Can anyone help with where would be the best place to bring up children?e.g. Good schools etc. I enjoy the seasons so would like to be in an area that is not to warm all year around? Have travelled Australia and appreciate it is such a diverse place so would welcome any views,positive and negatives? Thanks
