  1. Okay, thank you for your constructive criticism Ozmaniac.
  2. TRA Migration Skills Assessment Program. He's got a German passport and a German qualification.
  3. Thank you both for your replies. We're well aware of the difference in definition and how important it is. We're not yet sure if he has the required 3 years as a Chef, and if not we'd be applying as a Cook. And for a 189 not a 190.
  4. Hello everyone, My partner (a chef) wants to get a permanent visa for Australia. Right now we are intending on applying for subclass 190, state sponsorship. (If his English test goes really well we might try for subclass 189) We are currently getting the (ENDLESS) paperwork together for his TRA Skills Assessment. We're struggling to know exactly what to write for Part 8 / his Description Of Your Work (in own words) and exactly what we need in the letters from his employers (how much detail?!). I would appreciate any tips anyone has and if anyone would share with me their own documents (actual letters, templates, anything) we would be so grateful. Especially other chefs/cooks! Just for ideas and peace of mind, I would never plagiarize! Thank you, Alice

    TRA and Chefs

Hi Jade, did you end up having any luck getting sample papers from other people? Am in desperate need of the same thing myself. Doing my partner's chef skills assessment at the moment. Gah! Alice
  6. Hi Joe - I hope you're out in Australia now but that you're still using this site. My partner and I are currently in the middle of getting all the paperwork together for his TRA skills assessment as a chef. It would be such a relief to see some of the paperwork other people had sent in (especially those who were successful!) Mainly concerned about the letters from employers and Part 8 (work description in own words) Hope to hear from you, Alice
