  6. Wow, that's some cost, cheaper to sell your gear there, use that money to rebuy here plus some of the $8,000 u would be spending...
  7. Sorry to hear your sad news, it sounds like u are going through hell at the moment, is there anyway she may see a councillor with u over the marriage, a new born puts stress on any relationship.. Sorry I can't help with where u stand but it may be worth your while contacting diac straight away. Best of luck
  8. We moved from Dublin in 2006 and were between 2 minds in sells Ng or keeping, luckily we sold as the market hit a downturn and the house is now worth less than its 1998 price, I felt if we wanted to give here a good go it was just easier not to have any ties back home, also took 3 yrs to really feel settled and if we had the house then we may have gone home... Each to their own anyways
  9. Nice one mate, good luck with it all
  10. Hi Siobhan, I presume you are Irish or some Irish heritage, we live in bayside in Melbourne and I loved Perth when I was there back in early 2001 but the job I do meant that I would have been too busy with the hotter climate out there. We are going back to Ireland for 6 weeks in June so if you were interested in a cheap 3 bed house in the suburbs for a tester let me know... I like the changeable weather, as u won't often get too many days in a row over 30 then a 23 day hits for a day or two
  11. Hi, hope your move goes well,we are here 9 years now and just started from scratch but the cost of living has gone up a fair bit here so maybe shipping is the best way, do u know whereabouts u would like to live. Schools are great here, we r origionally from Dublin. You are also able to do tours of all the local schools before u choose, I don't think u can do that back in ireland
  12. We are in Mentone and love it... Beach life is great, when are u looking at coming over.
  13. I see plenty of locksmith vans about, maybe get online and ring as many as u can, u may be lucky
  14. Welcome to Melbourne... We are into our 9th year here and love it. Living in Mentone area. Kids will adapt quickly.. Took 2 to 3 yrs to really feel like home..
  15. It's gone quiet expensive over the last few years, check out Coles online and u can see some prices, not sure about rentals. But the further out from the CBD the cheaper u may find it
