    6 weeks to go

I know exactly how you feel. I fly out on 3rd May
  2. I used visa bureau and was very happy with the service. My job was withdrawn from the sol a few days after I submitted my EOI. It was then withdrawn from the 190nsw list 2 weeks after I resubmitted my EOI. Anyway I now have my 489 visa grant and I am so glad that I used them rather than trying to do it all myself.
  3. Congratulations! Great start to 2016!
  4. persianharry congratulations on receiving your invitation to apply. Hopefully they will process it quickly. I have been following this thread and like Caz I have been told it will take 12 weeks to process my application. I feel like my life is on hold.
  5. Thanks for your reply, I'm over the whole going clubbing on a Friday night, I guess it is just that not many people post let's socialise stuff for those cities on here which makes me worry
  6. I have a dilemma and would like your thoughts. Basically due to changes on the Skilled Occupation List for 189 visas, the only way I can achieve my dream of emigrating to Oz is via a 489 visa for NSW or NT. I am now not sure whether I should stay in the UK or whether I should just go for it whilst I still have no other half or kids to consider. For the 489 visa I would have to live in designated regional area for at least 2 years and have been in full-time employment for at least 12 months before I could apply for P.R So my question is do single people emigrate to Coffs Harbour or Port Macquarie, as looking on the forum most people seem to move to Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane? If I moved to Coffs or Port M would I find life very quiet there? Thanks
  7. Good idea to include your tax returns, yes the notary public is a weird one ha! ha! As for being a therapist, I'm sure there will be plenty of jobs out there. When I worked in Oz 10 years ago their community dental service for kids was pretty much therapist lead. I'm hoping to move to Melbourne as I have friends, who are normal people, living there. Where are you hoping to move to?
  8. Is your friend a notary public? As far as I am aware the Australian Dental Council will only accept documents certified by a notary public or justice of the peace if the applicant is currently working outside of Oz. I would also get 2 or three copies of each document certified as you may need them again when you apply to AHPRA as I've been told the ADC don't like to share documents. As for being self employed I would get your accountant to provide you with a letter stating they prepared your accounts and copies of your accounts rather than giving them a copies of your bank statements. I am a dentist currently awaiting the results of my skills assessment.
  9. Hi, The cost of the skills assessment sounds about right, just double check who can certify copies of documents needed, I suspect it will probably be a notary public rather than a normal solicitor. I would also get 2 or 3 copies of each of the documents certified. I am currently using an agent for peace of mind however it is expensive. Hope that helps
  10. Hi Emma, I have had my documents certified by a notary public as the ADC wouldn't accept anything certified by a normal solicitor. I would get two or three copies of each document certified by the notary public, they may charge you a little more than the £195 Hope that helps Cee
  11. Thanks just need to keep thinking clearly! xx
  12. Congratulations. I am doing the IELTS tomorrow, now getting nervous!
