Bhatti Paaji, Thank you for the reply. Looks like there is going to be a bit of wait before we get our ceremony dates. However, my cousin did get his citizenship here in Melbourne within 3 months of applying. He applied in July this year and got done with his ceremony by September end, but he was in a different council than me so it's really hard to predict how long it will actually take. Fingers crossed.

Hi guys, Does anybody here know the average waiting time to get a citizenship ceremony date in the Wyndham council? I called immigration today and I was advised that because Wyndham vale has a large migrant community, it might take more than 6 months for me to get a ceremony date. If there is any other applicant here from the same council, please share your timeline. I would appreciate that very much. My timeline is as follows: Date applied : 9 September 2014 Approval date : 10 October 2014 Ceremony date : still waiting
