  1. Hi guys. We got our PR last Friday. Due to certain reasons I want to get a PR visa label on my passport. I was wondering how this is done. Another important question is that if I get my passport stamped; would the date stamped show the day we got our PR or the date our passport was stamped?
  2. Thanks for your reply. Nice to hear from someone who went through something similar.
  3. Hmm so it looks like it depends on the CO and each case is different. I don't think my dad has any real problems just a bit of anxiety. We applied in July but haven't heard back. The CO asked for form 80 which was completed and sent a few days back and ever since then nothing. My mum is a physician and her hospital has sponsored her. I was wondering if your occupation had any bearings on your application?
  4. Well we haven't actually heard anything back from the processing office yet. But I thought if you were referred it meant you failed?
  5. Just to quickly add the doctor diagnosed my dad with "White Coat hypertension". This refers to a phenomena where a patient experiences high blood pressure in front of a doctor (due to anxiety etc.) but not at home hence they do not suffer from an actual illness. The doctor put white coat hypertension on our medical form. IDK if this will have any impact on our visa but in a way it's better then him getting diagnosed with actual hypertension or cardiovascular disease.
  6. My family is applying for the RMS visa sponsored by my mum's employer. One of the issues that we are facing is that my dad could not get through his medicals. He was found to have high blood pressure during the examination. He is above 50 so I suppose blood pressure issues are normal. But we would hate to take any risks on our visa application. How likely is this to affect our application? He doesn't have a significant disease like T.B., HIV, Kidney failure etc. but I don't know how the immigration office looks upon this particular problem. Anyone face anything similar?
