  1. Hi one and all, quick ques. I started this thread as i was thinking about using Anglo Pacific for my shipping needs. I have since paid the deposit, got the boxes and in the process of packing them. I have even given Anglo Pacific the date i wish the boxes to be picked up. My query is, I have asked a few times now for a shipping date, or even an estimate as to when the likelihood of our stuff is to be shipped and i keep getting the same response. I cannot give you an answer. Has anyone else had this issue? as this is the only issue i have had with Anglo and cannot understand why they cant give me an estimate at the very least. Thanks Please IGNORE - just got a response
  2. I have just been awarded my visa. Subclass 100. 8 months and 27 days.... good times
  3. I have just signed up to use Anglo Pacific, they were very good, answered all my questions and although they do estimate the price, i gave them dimensions of the stuff i was shipping and they sent me a list of the boxes they use and how much space they take up, so could get an accurate quote based on the cubit feet it would all take up.
  4. I dont know anything about Clark and Rose Eddie, but have just popped the deposit down for Anglo Pacific, they seem the best i went through and i had quotes from 7 different companies.
  5. Hi Engaus, Thank you for your response. I agree, so far they have been fantastic and i am leaning towards using them. I got quotes from a variety of companies and they are very reasonably priced. Seven seas have been a joke so far so will definitely not be using them, even though, they were the company i was thinking about when i first started looking into this process. Thanks for the reassurance.
  6. Has any one used Anglo Pacific for their shipping?
  7. Hello, I am hoping for a quick bit of help. I have tried looking at the below threads but as such i have not been able to find the answer to my question, so firstly, let me apologize if i am asking a question that has been asked before. We are looking to ship some things over to Oz, nothing to major, a few boxes, a suitcase, couple of pics, fishing rods, so travelling very light. I just want to see if its worth getting movers insurance for this? I have read elsewhere that its been hard for people to get stuff back on insurance if its broken etc and just wanted to see others peoples thoughts. I look forward to your responses Many thanks Matt
  8. Lol, my partner will be a returning citizen which is good news and we should have around the same as you, prob a couple more boxes, couple of suitcases...
  9. Hmmm i have never had that before... might be worth giving them a quick email? or call
  10. Hi Bec, now its my turn to return the favour. I have flown with Singapore Airlines a few times now on my visits out to Australia and i must say they are very good. It is a free bar, you just ask for a drink and one appears for you, the service is very good as well as the entertainment on the flight as well. With regards to the seating option, you can choose your seats, i believe you just log on via the Singapore airlines website, enter your flight details etc and go from there. Re the tour, i have no idea as i have never had such a long stay over, but the airport is fantastic and there is plenty to do. Also, re currency, it doesn't matter either way. They have barcode scanners that you scan your product and it gives you the price in GBP and AUD as well as other currencies, but, you change is given to you in Singapore Dollars, so try and have as much change as possible so you don't end up with a pocket full of Singapore Dollars. When do you fly?
  11. Thank you kindly for your response Bec and its good to know there are a couple of people in the same boat. I will probably send over a quick email as i'm sure the confirmation is just round the corner, just very eager to book flights after Xmas. I know the feeling though, i check my emails constantly and when the email does pop up in my inbox, i will definitely be celebrating
