That is highly unlikely, as you would need experience in the duties of an Electronics Engineer as per the ANZSCO code
http://www.abs.gov.au/ausstats/abs@.nsf/Product+Lookup/1220.0~2006~Chapter~UNIT+GROUP+2334+Electronics+Engineers
Assuming that your work is primarily software testing, you would not meet this criteria.
Qualifications are far less important on the whole than experience - providing you have sufficient experience you would be able to pass a ACS skills assessment.
My OH is an electronics engineer too and he passed his ACS skills assessment with 7 years experience as a Network Engineer and I have a degree in psychology and could have passed mine as a System tester (didn't need to as I went as a dependent on his)
I assume you are hoping for Electronics Engineering as it is on the SOL but I don't hold out much hope for you.
Sponsorship is a viable option - try PlanIT, they are testing specialists, very reputable and have offices in a number of major cities - they will sponsor good testers. It would be a 457 visa initially which is not without risk (so if you have family perhaps not).
I never worked for them myself but I know the managing director very well professionally and used their services in Perth.
I do have family and I live in India. I have over 5 yrs Exp in S/W testing. I know a friend who is also an electronics engineer but working as tester and he got through EA as Electronics Engineer. Wonder how...
