  1. Lucky you in the UK. Here in the Philippines we think we have the worst service of any Australian Embassy in the world. Many Filipino's get refused visa's. The first tourist visa we applied for was denied. The Embassy here is staffed with Filipinos and it's a strange thing but seems that most applications through agents are approved but self applications are denied. I hope you have applied for a class 100 visa as with over 7 years together you can bypass the class 309. I think processing time for class 100 is shorter too. Seems to me that the only reason we are kept waiting so long for the 309 is to see if the relationship lasts.
  2. Applied to Oz embassy Manila Philippines for 309/100 spousal visa and acknowledge receipt dated 15 April 2014. Medicals etc done May 2014 VISA received 07 April 2015. So a week short of a year. We have been given until 15 June to enter.

Residence time in Oz for 309 visa

My Filipino wife should be getting a 309 visa soon. I am Oz citizen. The waiting time for upgrade to class 100 is 2 years. We would like to share our time between Australia and the Philippines so my question is: What is the minimum period she has to stay in Australia during the two years? Thanks
