  1. applied 30.12.2014 still waiting for my temp visa. Its' been over a year almost been 15 months which they say is the average time. Can anyone shed some light on what to do? anyone else in the same boat? I have book an overseas holiday for June and my bridging visa says I'm not to leave to country. can I ask them to look at mine so I know I will have my temp visa by June? what are my options? TIA, K
  2. I applied 30/12/14 and heard back a few weeks ago to do my medical and police checks, im just in the process of doing my medical. but that's the first I've heard from them this whole time. I continue to upload things if I think they are relevant (I didn't have much evidence to start with as we live with his parents so no bills)
  3. I applied December 2014, still no case officer. however they have finally asked for my police checks/ medical exams to be done
  4. when you apply online there are lists and ? next to each evidence section. It will tell you if you need it to be certified or not. Most don't, birth certificate, stat dec etc. do but itsn ot a lot at all. k
  5. Ok. I'm on my bridging visa A waiting for my temp partner visa. We applied Dec 30th 2014 and I know it can take from 12- 15 months I want to take my partner over to the UK this Christmas (Nov-Jan). I was wounding if I could email them and let them know my plans and see if they could either grant my temp early or grant me a bridging visa B What do you think. what are the pros and cons of this idea and a bridging visa B Are there any negative outcomes that may arise from this and who do I email? I applied online Thank you all in advance K
  6. Applied - December 2014 Still waiting to hear anything back. When did you apply and how far along the process line are you up to? do you have any useful tips for others (except to be patient:cute:) thanks Kira
  7. I applied in December too. I'm still uploading a few bits of evidence but don't have as much as you. (it makes me feel better that I'm not the only one still uploading things) Have you completed your medical and police checks yet or are you waiting until they ask? Thanks
  8. I've been looking into studying whilst I wait for my partner visa to come through. just curious to know if I would be classed as a international student or not? and if not when will I no longer be an international student after the temp partner visa? or after the 801 full partner visa? Its really expensive for an international student, but I don't want to sit around and wait. also I was wondering how long it took everyone to fully upload all their proof/ documents and get their medical and police checks done? TIA
  9. Hi, I'm in the same boat as you, I'm from England and met my partner out here, we have applied for our partner visa and I requested to stay longer at my job I asked for 4 months extra (when my WHV ends and the bridge visa begins) they go back to me very quick and that was over the Christmas holidays. You will have enough evidence, just give them everything you have. As my partner tells me every time I get a little stressed about it - they aren't in the business of breaking people up and chucking people out of the country, they have people come in with little to no evidence sometimes, we will be the easy cases. hope your doing ok with it all (its very overwhelming)
  10. Yeah they cover food, I pay weekly rent. He pays by helping around the house/garden. I have been saving for this visa and he is a student so gets very little money and pays for all our dates. He doesn't seem worried about the evidence (his brother sponsored his partner and he isn't the 'brightest spark') so he thinks we wont have a problem, we are going to get a joint account tomorrow. 2 of the payments sent were for my gym membership which he helped me with at the beginning, this is stated on the title of the payment sent. as well as 1 being forvisa and another for a costume a bought. surely the first 3 should look good as evidence? we have so many people that can account for our relationship. I met him when all his friends were there so they saw our relationship begin. We constantly talk to them each day as well. I do have a diary that I used to write, starting from when I started backpacking, it includes when we met however I did stop once I moved in here as I was no longer sight seeing. would that be of any use?
  11. That's what I'm worried about, we do have photos and invitations that are to us both and We have registered our relationship with NSW. I work he is a student) so technically I don't need 'support' and we live a very low cost life style, which has made this process harder. thanks, K
  12. I have finally finished filling out my part of the form. Anyways... I'm now concentrating on getting the evidence. we live with his parents and therefore don't have any bills in our name. We have very little out going payments except our own phone bills out of our own accounts. we don't have a shared bank account either, however he has sent me money in the past. how can we prove that we have been living together, his mom is happy for us to have a rent agreement as proof but do we need more? Thanks in advance. K
  13. Myself and my partner have been living together for 6 months and are looking into registering our relationship. Just wondering if this could change my working requirements as I'm on a WHV living in a small town, it is going to be difficult for me to change jobs every 6 months, I have been employed 3 months so far. My partner is studying, would registering our relationship change the amount he receives from the government etc? also I can't find a lot of information on bridge visas and if they allow me to work or study for longer periods of time?? any information would really help, I spend a lot of my time trying to understand this whole process Thanks, Mk:cute:
