  2. Thanks for the information. I think this is his case: son included in the application as dependent but no visa issued to the son. If this is the case, what will be the visa for the son so the son could visit him?
  3. Thanks again for the information. I have another inquiry, although this one is not my case, but a friend of mine. He is also an international student. He has a minor son but is left on his country. Now, he wants to apply for a visa for his son so that the son could visit him here - just to visit (son on school holiday), with no purpose of studying here. What kind of visa would he apply for? What type of visa will be granted to the son?
  4. Thanks for the information guys. How much does a consultation with a migration agent roughly costs? i read from a previous post that its like $2000-$3000. Just to inquire? that will leave me no money to pay for the actual visa.. Lol
  5. Thanks for the advice. addt'l question. will i not be able to apply/ be granted with a Bridging Visa if ever i pursue to cancel my student visa? I was also considering, if ever i cancel my student visa and be granted with a bridging visa and will not let me study or work, i can get pregnant and focus building our family first - just delay my uni until my trmporary visa is granted. I just dont want to be sent home after marriage just because i cancelled my student visa.
  6. Hi, My bf and I are getting married this year, but I still have 1 yr in Uni. He wanted so bad to start family already but I wanted to finish my Uni as well. So i agreed to marrying him as long as I can continue attending Uni. With regard to my visa, im confused what to do next. 1. Apply for partner visa after marriage, but still continue Uni? 2. Cancel my student visa, then apply partner visa and still continue uni? Will i be sent home if i request to cancel my student visa? 3. Wait for my student visa to expire and apply for partner visa? plus he wanted to have babies already, so as an int'l student and pregnant, i might not be able to handle the stress. would appreciate any advise pls. thanks
