  1. Yes Bungo, actually I do, considering if it is declined I have 4 weeks to pack up my belongings here, send them back to the UK and source myself somewhere else to live and another job. Each person's case is equally as important to them as the next.
  2. Totally feel your pain. I am already here in Aus. My company sponsored me on a 457 but for some reason made an error last year, and did my original 457 for a year, so had to make a whole new application. Was told would find out in 1-2 weeks. That was a week and 3 days ago. Although they have given me a bridging visa until they have come to a decision which isn't ideal as will need to consider where will move to and potentially another job. Just don't understand what the hold up is.
  3. Hi! Please can someone offer some advice. I was hoping to secure some bar work in addition to my regular 9-5 office job for the company who sponsored me to come here. Does anyone know please if I could take work in a bar/restaurant to supplement my income while I'm here - or since I'm on a 457 to a particular company, can I only work for them? Thanks in advance! L
  4. Please can someone help! I arrived in Sydney last Friday, couldn't sleep so thought would catch up on my soaps before bed and was gutted to find out neither BBC IPlayer or ITV Player work in Aus. Does anyone else know how I can go about holding onto by guilty pleasures? Thanks!
  5. Hi Lemon Ginger, Actually yes. On the 19th August I received an email from the MA to say I had a CO appointed and had requested further information which is annoying as the info the MA already had which was my healthcare insurance cert but she hadn't uploaded it. Literally the same day my nomination was approved (19/08) my visa and nomination were submitted on the same day so having my nomination approved and a CO already appointed, I'm hoping it shouldn't be too much longer. What are youtr timescales?
  6. Hi Ellie Not sure if that is god news or bad - makes it worse that its a Bank Holiday weekend and you can't get in contact - or are they Aus based? Can you put an update - its making me a bit worried! Fingers crossed for you.
  7. Hi Ellie Does your employer already have sponsorship? It also depends on your line of work I think. My employers already had a license to sponsor, we submitted my nomination and visa application through a MA on the 7th August 2014. My nomination was approved on the 19th August, my CO was also allocated on 19th August and requested info on my medical insurance cover which I did through HCF and already had so sent straight back. Hopefully will hear back next week on if my visa will be granted. Hope that helps offer an idea on timescale. L
  8. Hi All I was hoping if anyone has any more up to date visa processing deadlines. My company already has a sponsorship licence, my nomination and application was made 07/08/14 through a visa agent. We have medical insurance arranged and moving from the UK to Sydney. We have used a MA but have been less than helpful and feel like I would be hounding them if I asked for an estimate timescale. Can anyone advise please? I am covering a colleague who is due to leave at the end of August. Thanks in advance!
