  1. I am in the exact same position as yourself me and my girlfriend land in sydney at the very beginning of February and we are trying too scan the internet to find out were is the best places to go for regional work but it seems like one of those things that you have to be there to know where to go. Would be cool to meet up with like minded people when we are there
  2. What a great read really gets me excited as me and my girlfriends plan is pretty similar we fly into Sydney on 1st of February and the idea is to buy a rust bucket of a car hit the road and see were we will end up. I know there will be ups and downs too while we're there but these things in life an inevitable and always good life experience. Any hints or tips about jobs or just general things to do is much appreciated dude that's a bad ass fish also will be looking to do a good bit of fishing while I'm there.
  3. Hello guys beginning my research now for my travels in February. Was looking into jobs and i and my girlfriend are generally just hoping to do harvest/farm-work throughout the year but also we'd be happy to work in bars/hotels too. So when researching into bar work and any general work were alcohol is served i see that an RSA certificate is needed. We will first be in Sydney and in the area of New South Wales which i now understand that you need to gain the certificate while in Auz but we will be also in Queensland throughout our stay which i have found that you can do the RSA course online. I have found multiple online companies that provide the course with prices ranging from as little as $9.99 then courses charging as much as $60 so i was wondering if anyone has any recommendations on which is best to do and if the courses that are very cheap online could be scams. Obviously the cheaper the better but there is no point if its worthless haha
  4. So it is finally booked for the 1st of February so gonna start looking into hostels now and a game plan too finding work/activities. Thanks for all the good advice guys anymore advice is welcome
  5. Thanks guys for all your advice. Main reason to start in Brisbane was more for the fact i have a few mates in Brisbane and researching shows that there may be more harvest work in Queensland although considering we will be going on the last week of January which is summertime hopefully there will be a good amount throughout the east. It looks like we will be booking Sydney as we have thought about it and realised that Brisbane is basically half way up the east coast and we do want to make our way throughout the year too cairns so no point in travelling back down the coast to Sydney when we can start there. Booking flights this afternoon now excited
  6. Hi guys just looking for some advice on were would be best to start my working holiday visa. Myself and my girlfriend will be booking our flights for auz in the next week or two but we are torn on were to start brisbane or sydney? We are planning to arrive in Oz in late January I've been chatting to a few mates who have been before but have different views on were to start. So I am wondering if someone could help a brother out with some advice or experience mainly including were is better for job opportunities. We're two happy like minded people looking to make enough to travel and see the country willing to do any form of job like fruit picking harvesting etc Any extra advice would be much appreciated. Thanks
