  1. Hi! My husband are in Perth on a 457 visa. We have 2 boys that attend the local primary school and pay $4000 pa. (that's per family)I'm pretty sure this is standard on a 457 visa? Unless you are lucky enough to that your employer pays the bill x Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. Yay! Congrats! Exciting times ahead[emoji3] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. Morning! Apologies if I'm incorrect!![emoji51] as we did our application back last May so the process may have changed? But I was under the impression from our MA that both police clearances and medicals were both essential for an application Permanent or temporary? For a 457 Medicals are just the simple ones for main applicant, and police clearances have to be for all on visa application? I think we had medicals requested after they look at your case. Medicals were the last thing for us. As medicals can be expensive ,immi don't ask for them until they are needed to take you application to the next stage. I guess also just Incase an application is denied at the early stage? We are from the uk and a v simple case for immi to work on and still have to provide all of this. Also I think a form 80 has to be submitted as standard? Given the info you have to provide on it?! No sure why any applicant would not have to? At least the form is easier now! When we applied we have to provide ALL address history and travel history, at least it's only for 10 years now lol![emoji1303]Again apologies if I'm wrong! Just our experiences of the 457 process.[emoji3] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. We had our 457 visa granted in 12th May 2015 after immi received our medical insurance certificate on the 24th March 2015. Which I believe to be the last info they will ask for before they can issue a visa? Fingers crossed for you, I don't think you have much longer to wait [emoji1303][emoji3] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    457 insurance help

Try bupa, my husband and I will never get PR because of the type of arthritis his has, but bupa had no problems with giving us 457 insurance ? If they decline insurance, I would prob take a look at weather you may not be granted a 457 visa at all [emoji45]. You have to have the insurance to be granted. Good luck! Fingers crossed for you X Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. Hi! Myself, my husband and our 2 little boys moved to Perth in June on a 457 visa. Only a very quick medical for my hubby, and no X-rays done. I think he was in and out with in half hour! Good luck x[emoji1303] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    457 insurance

Hi, I moved to Australia in June on my husbands 457 visa. Now if I can remember rightly for our application we had to purchase 457 visa medical insurance, we went with bupa. We then just had to provide the certificate to be granted the visa, they literally asked for cert and we were granted. So buy it last min, you can do it online and get cert instantly. Once we arrived we just cancelled it after signing up to Medicare. We do have ambulance cover ($200ish a year for a family) as on a 457 you would have to pay for an ambulance if you need it-very pricey[emoji51]. Medicare do not cover costs. We are in Perth but not sure if it's the same for Queensland?! I would definitely check the systemic lupus with an expert! My husband has arthritis and has v expensive injection. (Has not needed them since being here tho!) because of the cost it would mean we shall never get permanent residency. If he can stay off his meds for 5 years and prove he no longer needs them we may have a chance. We only managed to get a 457 visa because his employer agreed to pay for his meds. There is a medical care cost threshold, his med costs were way over! Your med costs may not be? Hope this helps? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. Hi, i just wondered weather anyone had any opinions on the Quinns beach primary school, the website looks great but just wondered if anyone had any experience with the school? I'm hoping for my little boy to go there. Any other advice or recommendations/ enrolment or general advice on schools are very welcome!
