  1. Im heading to Melbourne on the 27th of April can't wait! Moving by myself but I've as good as got a job lined up already and am just looking for accommodation as we speak so happy days:wink:
  2. Transfered 5k over to my NAB bank account, just 4 weeks left in the UK:swoon:
  3. Hi Im moving to Melbourne in the next few weeks and may even have a job interview sorted for when I get there with a company called ALCOIL but I could really do with some advice on how hard it is to acquire my ROOF plumbing licence. I've been sheeting for 9 years here in the UK and I presume it is very similar type of work in Australia but could really do with a chat with any UK SHEETERS that have made the move and got there ROOF plumbing licence. Just some basic questions on what they look for and how hard it is to get licenced as a ROOF plumber in Oz. Il be forever grateful for any advice, please message me if you fit the bill. thanks Mark:wacko:
  4. Hi ive just had my 189 visa granted but do not plan to enter Australia until January 2015, i have renewed my passport (AFTER) my 189 visa was granted here in the UK and have noticed the message on immiaccount that says if you have been granted a visa you need to send a certified copy with form 929 BY POST to your nearest office. Obviously my nearest office is thousands of miles away in Australia so do you think they will accept a certified copy and form 929 by email or uploaded to immiaccount? as i have not yet entered Australia? If anyone has been in this situation i would appreciate some help on the matter as immiaccount is currently down for maintenance so i cannot email my case officer, thanks in advance for your help:arghh:
  5. I just received my 189 grant today! im a single 26 year old bloke going it alone in Melbourne next January. Looking forward to it but expect i will have a challenging first 6 months ahead, i usually have no problems meeting and making new friends just hope it isnt too much of a culture shock as i have never even visited Australia! Im hoping through work, sports teams and good old fashioned alcohol it shouldnt be to hard fitting in. ROLL ON THE NEW YEAR
  6. I lodged mine 11th June uploaded medical last week and recieved grant today!!!! I think a bottle of champagne is in order, good luck to you all!!!!!
