Many thanks Capt C..even more for all the valuable suggestions you provided throughout this process....Pcc seems to be the only hurdle one has to cross which was not the case with me as I was required to get only British pcc.... -

Quite true actually coz DIBP'S target processing time is 3 months (for 70% cases)..so I would wait for a week or so before calling them up.... -

Hi guys I know a friend of mine who got his visa a month back. He had always worked on contractual basis but was able to claim all 15 points for experience (as mentioned in AMSA letter). DIBP considered all his experience including breaks between contracts..According to him DIBP just go by AMSA letter n doesn't bother about leave periods..Just have your contract letters, employment letters, salary slips & bank statements ready....Rest depends on case officer also ... Good day I had contacted AMSA asking about work experience calculations n got following answer : "It is an arbitrary maximum figure AMSA grant for Chief Mate and Master applicants based on their sea service and college time. The intention is not to include any extended leave periods in this figure. From AMSA’s point of view, if it was apparent during sea service assessment that there is a significant gap, AMSA will consider this gap and deduct in the final assessment letter". -

Good day all Kindly advise how employment details are to be entered in EOI if a person has always worked on contractual basis...If only sailing time has to be entered then how leave period wld be covered up to claim required points . On the other side AMSA considers even breaks between ships to calculate total working experience... Kindly share your thoughts on that.. Thanks -
