I've already applied for a Child Visa 101 for my 5 month old. Since the processing time of that visa is really long, can I still migrate to Australia (already have a SubClass 189), look for job etc and hopefully migrate my family later when the visa is granted or I have to wait till the visa is granted as I have submitted my proof of income and employment verification letters? Need a little guidance here.

Folks, Its been 2 months since I applied for AU 189 and submitted all documents. I've not received any communication and when I login to Immi Account, it shows the status as 'In Progress'. Can some one guide me on who should I contact, all I find on Immi Account website is a form that has pre-canned stuff. - Scrappy

Guys, I'm completely lost. I tried to look AEI-NOOSR website and it has no information on India or I'm unable to locate it. How I can be sure that my B.Tech degree is equivalent to an Australian Degree ?

You should be referred to VETASSESS by your relevant skills assessing authority or by the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) for a qualifications only assessment to assist DIBP to consider a claim for qualification points in the General Skilled Migration Program (GSM) Points Test. A formal referral is not required, but it is the applicants' responsibility to ensure that they have a Points Test Advice from the correct assessing authority. For further information about the Points Test see the DIBP website at www.immi.gov.au. I have no referral from ACS or DIBP ? Is that required or should I just go ahead with it ? I searched on the nomination criteria and its quite challenging. Especially Victoria, where they I would need show finances of around 40K AUD for 2 dependents + me. I didn't see any requirement for CSOL, all it says that my occupation should be on their list, which it is. I guess, my only option is to re-try IELTS with an aim to get 8 in all sections. Maybe I'll go for some IELTS classes.

Not really, how do I do that. What is Visa 190, I may have overlooked this

Thanks for the response, getting an 8 on all sections is quite difficult, as chances of missing out on one or the other is there. I got an overall 8 with 8.5 in Reading & Listening. 7.5 writing and 7.0 in speaking, even though I thought I'll get a better score at speaking.

Fellas, I'm falling short of 5 points when filing EOI for Visa 189. Can I claim partner points for my wife ? I got my skills assessed by ACS. My wife is a Primary School Teacher, will getting her skills assessed by Australian Institute of Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) help or she is supposed to have the same skills as me to claim partner skills ?

thx guys, I will be reading through the docs on ACS site and I've been given only 30 days to furnish RPL with additional 50 AUD fee or else they'll provide their report based on the information available. I guess, I'll have to put on my thinking hat as most of my experience has been in Network Support, so creating a project that explains that experience is going to be hard. I'm applying under 263111- Computer Network and Systems Engineer. Also has anyone tried rpl-it.com ? They help build RPL Project reports, any feedback on it. TIA

Thx Guys, I tried searching for the RPL Applicant guide on ACS, could not find one. Additionally, reading through the messages, do I need to reach out to VETASSESS ? I don't think I need to as that is for Vocational Trainings & Assessment. I have a 4 year B.Tech (Production Engineering) degree, I understand, it's a non-IT degree and hence ACS is asking me to go the RPL route, however will this in any way impact the number of points I would get when filing EOI ? I would appreciate if someone from Computer Networking skillset could share an RPL (if anyone filed it) as a reference. I went through the RPL form and it's confusing. TIA

Hello Everyone! This is my first post as I'm new to PomsinOz. I need some help in filling out RPL as I received an email from ACS stating that my qualifications don't match with ICT and I would need to provide an RPL. I have a B.Tech degree in Production Engineering, however my experience has been in Computer Networking (9.5 years to be precise). A couple of questions I had 1. The RPL form states 4 Areas namely - Technology Resources, Technology Building, Services Management and Outcomes Management. It doesn't have an option to select sub-categories i.e. certain sub-categores under Technology Building apply to me and others don't, so how do I mention/select that. 2. It requires verifiable statements from employers, can anyone please share a sample/reference for the same, I submitted an employment reference letter stating my roles & responsibilities earlier in my ACS application, so I'm not sure if I can re-use the same letter or I need a separate on from my Manager. 3. Additionally, I was also requested the following Certified copy of your birth certificate or passport. Certified copy of a letter of completion for your .........................., stating the exact date that the course requirements were met. Certified copy of your ............................... degree certificate. Certified copy of the complete and final academic transcript for your ............................... degree. Certified copy of detailed employer references from ....................................................... Now who is supposed to fill those dashes and I already provided them with my passport copy, B.Tech degree. I can provide more details on my experience and would really help if someone could guide me through or provide me with a reference of a consultant that can help me, I'm located in New Delhi, India.
