  1. Hay fever tablets! Also calpol fast melts if you have kids and use them.
  2. What a great thread. Would love to see more like this.
  3. My mother in law missed her connection home due to her first leg having to divert around the ashcloud. China Southern put her up in a hotel for 10 hours then flew her home via Amsterdam. It was an inconvenience but it was dealt with and she survived! I think the thing to think about is whether you are looking for an "experience" or just a way of getting from A to B. If you're in economy you'll be in a tight space for several hours no matter who you're flying with! Personally I would save my money. It's 24 hours out of your life and long haul flights are like childbirth- pretty painful while you're going through it but as soon as you land you forget the pain! You can have your "experience" when you arrive with the money you've saved!
  4. Hi everyone, looks like most people have made up for the long wait for the visa grant! We validated our visa in August and while we were there my husband landed a job- he starts in January but me and the kids aren't going over til July due to other commitments. Looks like everyone is having a great time, thanks Eddie for restarting this thread.
  5. Congratulations! Yours will be the first of many in the next few days I'm sure!
  6. Thanks everyone! We are offshore and heading to WA
  7. Hi everyone I'm more of a follower than a poster on here as I'm a bit shy but I thought you all might like to know that we got our visa this morning. We lodged on 22nd December so we were beginning to think our application had got lost in the backlog! Very excited, lots to think about! Good luck to everyone waiting, it will happen!
  8. We applied for a 190 in December.
  9. We have this CO too, meds uploaded 6th March, just waiting too.
