Hello everyone, what a nice idea to start this group. We are currently waiting to be assigned a case officer and for our final answer to see if our 489 partner visa has been approved. WE have been waiting 4 weeks for a case officer, already done our medicals and police checks. Does anyone have a rough idea on how long the wait is at the moment to get a case officer? Also roughly how long do the case officers take to make a decision? Very excited. We will be moving to the Far South Coast, NSW. Good luck everyone.

Hello, jsut wondered if you (cherries002) have recieved your invitation yet? We were told it usually takes 4 - 8 weeks but can take up to three months, for NSW. Is this true? How long have other peoples taken for NSW?

Does anyone know how to search for activites / community events / volunteer work or clubs in Batemans Bay? Any websites / links / places to look it up? Or has anyone heard of any clubs / activities that they have done and could recommend? We would really like to meet people and get involved in the community. Be lovely to know what to expect. x Thank you. x

thanks so much everyone for your honest opinions, that has really helped. Im a marine electrician and noticed the marina there and my girlfriend is a primary teacher but more than willing to do any form of work. it is such a tough decision but also very exciting thank you all again

Hello everyone, We have been offered the regional state of Far South Coast, NSW. Its such a huge decision to make as we will need to live and work in the areas for at least two years if we choose this area. We have been looking in to Batemans Bay and just by doing a little research it looks beautiful. However, no amount of research can give you a real feel for the place and we have never been. Has anyone been to Batemans Bay? Or lived there? Or do you know of anyone that could give us any advice / positives / negatives of the area. We would be really grateful for any information. Hello, please could anyone help me with my VETASSESS paperwork that I need to complete before my exam this Thursday? How much detail do I need to include for each section? I am going to choose Elective 1 as I have experience in this area, but not sure how much I should write for each system, or how many systems to talk about? Does anyone have an example, or anything they could share with me to get me on the right track. Thank you in advance.

Hello all, really good to read about places to find jobs in oz, but could I please ask advice on when I should start looking for jobs as I havnt started the visa application process yet. I'm a fully qualified teacher and want to move to oz permanently. Iv been advised to get the 190 visa but I havnt quite got enought points are there any other ways to get out there to teach, like teacher sponsorship etc. any advice would be appreciated thank you

Congratulations, that is awesome news. We are hoping to start the process soon, aiming also to gain the 189 visa. We are having difficulty just choosing an agent and trusting everything they say! How easy is it to do the process yourself? Or could you please recommend websites/ ways to find out about doing it yourself and what is involved.
