I keep seeing a lot of people written on forums that fruit picking work is hard to come by these days in Oz? How true is this? Is this just because the time of year or are people just not looking hard enough? I plan to come over at the the end of September, probs start looking for work round about the end of October, can anyone tell me what job oppertunities are like for this time of the year?

Hey just gathering as much info as i possibly can just now about flights etc. Looking to know if open returns are worth it & what companies do them? Has anyone else bought one before?

Air b&b is a great idea if you want a bit of space for a few night but hostels are also a great idea aswell for meeting & socialising with people. Best of both worlds really.

My girlfriend & I are heading out in September aswell, were flying to Sydney. Got family there & will be attending a wedding. Once that's done with we'll take it from there where we go, maybe Melbourne.

Hello there, I'm new here. Planning on making the trip out to Australia in Sept/Oct just a quick question. My Girlfriend will be wanting to get her 2nd year visa so does that mean she has to work on the same farm for 3 months straight or can the 3 months be split up over 12 months & different farms.
