We arrive in Sydney tomorrow and sound to be in the same situ as all of you. Very anxious esp after looking at the state and cost of rentals on Domain! We will keep you posted on what we find out!

I have dsylexia and completed the test with no problems i needed to get at least a 7 and did so with no worries. I think you will be fine just look at the practise questions before you go for the big day. Good luck

Thanks Mary for your lovely reply. We have both lived in Sydney at different times but it is still a huge "adventure". I will be working in Sydney Childrens which is in Randwick so will be looking for accomodation in that area. Looking forward to seeing the Australian Summer as you said we will be arriving in Winter and so that will be two winters for us this year however it is 20 degrees here now at it is our Summer so might not be too much of a shock!!!! Hi Sarah, I sent all my docs through Royal Mail recorded service and had no problems at all. I just kept copies off all the certified documents i sent. Think it cost be less than £10 but that was over a year ago. Linz

Thanks everyone for the advice......interview went well the questions not quite as expected and threw me a bit as they were very basic esp for a PICU nurse ( i feel). Just waiting on references now hoping to be out there in August. Please get in touch if anyone needs any help with the ANMAC/APHRA process!!!

Visa got and i now have an telephone interview for a position on the ICU at sydney children's hospital on the 05/02/2014? Just wondered if anyone had any tips/have had an interview recently and can offer me any advice. My last interview was over 6 years ago and nerves are starting to set in and advice would be greatly received Linz :biggrin:

189 visa got, now we just need jobs! My husband and I have received our 189 and are now in the process of securing jobs before we set off to Sydney. We are hoping to leave in July 2014! Having gone through the long process of 189 visa/ANMAC and APHRA applications and all the trials and tribulations that brings we just want to say hi and offer help and advise for anyone going throught this at the moment.
