  1. Hi Andy, The partner needs to fall in the same occupation. So you and your partner should have the same occupation. At least have English at competent level (IELTS 6+ or equivalent). Have a positive skill assessment from the assessing authority. So you and your partner both need to have a positive skill assessment for the same occupation in order for your to claim an additional 5 points. Regards Muhammad
  2. Hello guys, My name is Muhammad. I want to ask if someone have a rough idea about the general/necessary cost of living for a young married couple no kids in Sydney which includes but not limited to: Rent and Advance Rent in the beginning to rent out a 1 bed lounge apartment in a decent living place. We can manage around 40 mins to an hour traveling at work. Grocery Internet Food (self-cooked) Phone bills Traveling (Public transport) Any accommodation taxes eg. council tax as it is in UK Electricity, water and gas bills Gym membership This is to get an idea about our monthly expenses i.e., running expenses and to also know that how much money roughly shall we bring along with us when hopefully we will arrive Sydney soon. Your responses will be appreciated as always Regards Muhammad.
  3. Hello guys, My name is Muhammad. My fiance has received an invitation from DIBP on 8th of May to apply for 190 visa. But before she applied, we are getting married on 10th of June. What we have planned is to get married before she files her case and then apply together as she as main applicant and myself as her partner so that we can get the visa and fly together. However, when she was filing her EOI she has mentioned her relationship status as Engaged. As her EOI is locked now, how can she include me with her application so that we can apply and pay the fee together. Please help us experts, we are absolutely clueless here. We want to apply together. Many Thanks Regards Muhammad.
  4. Dear All, My name is Muhammad. My fiance has applied for Accountancy General and she is an ACCA Member (ACCA Qualified and 3+ years of experience). In her EOI, she has claimed 15 points for that as comparable to Australian Bachelors degree. Are we on the track or have we over claimed the points? Regards Muhammad
  5. Hello, My name is Muhammad. My fiance was nominated by NSW for state sponsorship for Accountant General. My question is what happens if we get married after her visa is lodged but not finalized yet. Can she inform DIBP and update her about her marital status and can she include me in her application midway? Or do we need to wait for her outcome and then she may apply for a spouse visa. How will that work assuming that we get married after the lodging her visa but before the outcome is finalized Thanks and Regards Muhammad.
  6. Hello everyone, My name is Muhammad. As well all know nsw had a quota of 4,000 candidates to sponsor. My fiance had also submitted her EOI and she was invited for nomination from NSW two weeks ago. My question is have they sent the invites to all and now will they shortlist the candidates or they have only sent the nomination invites to 4,000 candidates only based on their required preferences. So is the scrutiny already done or is it still yet to come. That's just to predict a level of certainty. Thank you in advance. It's a much needed information please. Regards Muhammad
  7. First of all Dewi thank you so much for your response. Even I would be interested in knowing the answers of the questions that Sabrina has asked and will appreciate if anybody can answer
  8. Hello, I am an accountant by profession. I'm certain that I will meet the Australian degree requirement and I have also achieved the required IELTS score. I was assuming to apply for skill assessment from CPA within next few days. But I have two questions before I apply: 1. I have done a certificate via a distance learning body from Alison in Accounting Theory. Alison is an online body which caters students educational needs at no cost. All their certifications and diplomas have been given equivalency according to Ireland FETAC and UK NVQ level. However, they are not an accredited body. My question is will CPA consider the education and certificate that I have gained from Alison. Any suggestion or advice will be appreciated on it. 2. I'm confused as to whether I should apply my skill assessment online or via post as I don't know if there's any significant difference between them. If I apply online, will that be any quicker? How will handover my educational documents to them if I apply online. Can I only track my application status online only if I have applied online? I've also dropped this email to CPA but they are sluggish in replying emails. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you.
  9. Thank you for your response Alan. Much appreciated.
  10. Hello, I have a question regarding skill assessment from either CPA or ICAA. My question if I am a fully qualified ACCA member, i.e., I have completed all the ACCA papers and I have three years of highly relevant work experience, will that be sufficient to gain a positive skill assessment as I don't have a degree comparable to Australian Bachelors. I've heard that a full ACCA member suffice the 9 out of 12 core paper requirement plus the degree requirement as well. Is that true? Thank you.
  11. Hello, I am part-qualified Accountant from CIMA, UK. I have Advance Diploma from them which is 11 out of 15 papers. As there is a new opportunity from SA which requires at least Australian AQF Diploma Level (AQF Level 5). Does anybody have any idea if CIMA Advance Diploma will meet this requirement? Thanks.
  12. 189 visa takes longer. Moreover, I'd require another 5 points as compared to 190 visa.
  13. Thank you for your response. Yes my target is to do it anon.
  14. Hello, There is a possible opportunity for me to apply for a state sponsorship in South Australia (SA) at the moment. Previously, I was targeting New South Wales (NSW) but because I was not 25 years old, I was lacking 5 points. As I will turn 25 next month and NSW will open its Migration program in July, I was willing to apply for it. But on the other hand, I don't want to miss the present opportunity and wait until July when NSW re-opens its migration program certainly because my intended occupation might not be in the list this time (Accountant General/Management Accountant). I will certainly apply for SA SS program next week. My question is if everything goes well and I've applied my case for SA, then in July I realize after NSW release their CSOL list and my occupation is still there, can I apply for NSW as well provided I meet the requirement or if I have applied for SA then I've to wait for it's final outcome? Another question is being on a 190 visa and assuming I am living in one of the towns in SA, can I re-apply for 190 visa for a different state if I feel like SA is not for me?
  15. Appreciate your response. Well my experience is hands-down highly relevant. It's my diploma which I doubt is not highly relevant (Advanced Diploma in Management Accountancy from UK). I have one year pre-qualification and one year post-qualification, both highly relevant with the nominated occupation. My task level and job responsibility meets the requirement too. You see the statement at Vetassess website and the document on their website (link below) are inscrutable. On website, they say if the diploma is not highly relevant then two years of experience. Following to this statement they say, if all your experience is pre-qualification then follow this document. Which says three of experience prior to the one year of post-qualification experience. It's enigmatic to understand. Isn't it? http://www.vetassess.com.au/download/qualification_assessment/pre-and-post-qualification%20employment.pdf?id=110420140857AM
