oh right, at the minute I am on a 457, there are talks that my company might be closing down due to having no work which will leave me in a bad situation. I believe that you will get 90 days to find a new employer to sponsor you, if you dont find one you will have to leave? Is it 90 days from your employment termination letter or 90 days from when the immigration is informed? also if it was to happen shortly, would I still be ok to remain in Australia and wait for my invite, then lodge my visa and apply for the bridging visa as long as its all done with the 90 days? your help is much appreciated thanks joe

Thanks for the reply Adam. so this could take upto 12 weeks for me to get an invitation? or hopefully not as long as Electricians are still on the NSW SOL. Once I hopefully get an invitation, and then lodge the visa, am i able to apply for a bridging visa if needed? thanks Joe

Hi I have done my EOI and sent off the NSW state sponsorship form. Received an email from NSW saying that the have received the form and: We aim to process applications for NSW nomination within 12 weeks. Please note that this is only an estimate as the time frame can fluctuate depending on the volume of applications received. We are currently processing applications lodged on 3 October 2013. Am I still needing an invitation? or does this mean I am lodged? Thanks Joe

Hi Gang! Hope all is going well. Am a little puzzled at the minute as to where I am upto with my application, any help would be much appreciated. Through my agent, last week we done my EOI and on Friday sent of the NSW state sponsorship application form. My agent said he was going to upload my documents also that day. Today my agent forwarded an email from NSW saying "We aim to process applications for NSW nomination within 12 weeks. Please note that this is only an estimate as the time frame can fluctuate depending on the volume of applications received. We are currently processing applications lodged on 3 October 2013." Does this mean that my visa is now lodged and i should hopefully have a decision within the 12 weeks? I thought that I have to now wait for an invitation first? Then it would be lodged after receiving the invitation? I am applying as a sparky for the 190 and have been in Australia for 3 years this feb Could anyone explain this for me please? Thanks Joe
