  1. I would suggest you go for IELTS mate... From your score it seems that u r almost there... Whether u believe or not I booked and appeared for my IELTS in just 10 days time, and guess what I got 8,7.5,7,7 ... Haaa!!! Relieved!!! This test is more about learning techniques than just a command over English..... But trust me 7 in each component is not that difficult to achieve... Btw in which component did u get 6.5??? Best, Bret
  2. Thanks a lot for your valuable comments... I was loosing hope to survive as I had claimed 15 points for my qualification while filing my 189 application. I couldn't sleep and was having worse nightmares while coming across " You need to have Bachelors degree in addition to Masters"...Thank God...You took away all my stress. I absolutely endorse your statement that a qualification conferred by a degree mill is worthless and those who try to do so in fact betray themselves... Previously, as I was planning to move to Canada I had sent my credential to Canadian Credential Evaluation body (WES) and guess what outcome I received? My Masters degree is equivalent to Canadian Masters degree...Hah! Relieved!!! So I believe I am good to go and shouldn't worry. Isn't it???
  3. Hi Wrussell, I would extremely appreciate if you could shed some light on my concerns. Actually I received Masters degree from one of the prestigious U.K universities prior to getting the relevant work experience. I don't have Bachelors degree as I took ACCA route. I received 'POSITIVE' assessment from Vetassess with regards to my qualification and work experience. I only had Masters prior to my relevant work experience, and recently qualified ACCA. I have confirmed from an authentic source that my Masters is equivalent to OZ Masters. So while filing my skilled visa (PR) application would I receive 15 points from DIBP for my qualification or just 10 points??? I am receiving a mix feedback. Some say that in order to claim 15 points from DIBP one need to have Bachelors degree as well. On the other hand some say that if Masters is recognized as equivalent to Australian Masters then I would straight away get 15 points... This is literally confusing... Thanx in advance... Bret
  4. My sincere advice, don't betray yourself ... This plan isn't going to work... Chances of success r almost nil... Why don't u explore some other options??? Many people choose student visa as an option to permanently settle therein Oz land but I can assure u that while considering the current employment scenario switching isn't an easy job anymore. In fact, it is quite a painful route unless your skills are in a sector which is genuinely experiencing shortage of labour... Good Luck...
  5. Great piece of information dear... We are indeed expecting our golden mail at any time. Got plans to settle in NSW, probably Sydney due to better job prospects & stunning beaches... As we aren't willing to buy a property straight away I would appreciate if you could recommend us some areas to stay where rents are lower and which are decent enough to keep a family...
  6. Third clause is very clear... If you have spent over 90 days in ONE country then u would need it. 120 days in various countries would exempt u...
  7. Congrats scoobypatch!!! Its a great news... Best of Luck with your future!!! And definitely I won't spare u unless you answer to few of my questions (lol!!!): First of all tell me where r u planning to settle? Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide....... Secondly, would u mind if I ask you if you are from a high risk or a low risk country,it would give us a rough clue how long we need to wait before a grant. Your prompt response will be extremely appreciated. Cheers mate. Bret Hart
