  1. I've officially entered Australia with my 175 Visa and it is in effect until Jan 2019 Took my CO a while to send me the visa grant notification too.
  2. Thanks and you are right. The expiry/enter by date corresponds to the date printed my home country PCC. I hope they will amend the expiry date when i return to Aus next Sunday as it doesn't make sense to have a PR visa expires in two months. Otherwise I may have to apply for RRV when i leave the country Here's the VEVO link, although I'm not sure it would work for you if haven't been granted a visa. https://online.immi.gov.au/evo/firstParty?actionType=query
  3. Actually i realised the March 2014 date is about 12 months from my overseas police check certificate date. That'd make more sense than they stopping on into application processing in march
  4. Just to give an update regarding my 175 application My CO has been waiting for me to get Offshore since late Nov 2013 to grant me the visa and I finally have the chance do to so last Saturday. I haven't actually received any letter from DIBP yet but both VEVO and Electronic application status page stated that my PR was granted today 30/1/2014 and I need to enter australia before late March 2014. What puzzles me is that the visa comes with an expiry date exactly the same date of the 'enter before' date... anyway.. it's has been a long time coming. Good luck to you all.
  5. Hi Kimmo88, Apology for the lack of response as I don't check the forum that frequently. Yea, my CO was ready to finalise my application to grant me the VISA on 20 November 2013. But because I am currently on 457and inside Australia, in accordance with Regulations 175.411 and Regulation 175.412, The CO cannot grant this visa until I am offshore. 175.411 If the applicant who satisfied the primary criteria for the grant of the visa is also the holder of a Subclass 444 (Special Category) visa, each applicant included in the application may be in or outside Australia when the visa is granted. 175.412 In any other case, each applicant included in the application must be outside Australia when the visa is granted. I have notified the department that I will only depart from OZ in late Jan 2014 and the CO has made a note in my file and her calendar. She advised that providing no adverse information comes before the Department, my 175 visa should be granted whilst I am offshore. Right now I am just counting down the days...:biggrin:
  6. Seems like you been waiting for a long time after your application being assigned (5 Oct 2012)? Your PCC and Medical would have been expired by now.
  7. My CO has sent me an email last night notifying that she was about to finalise my 175 Application BUT she cannot grant me the VISA until I am offshore. She wants to find out when I will travel out of Australia so that she can grant me the visa. Round trip Ticket to NZ is going to cost 750, ouch..
  8. Following my previous post, I re-read my CO request for documents letter and found this line in it "As case officers must adhere to the priority processing arrangements, we ask that you keepyour contact with the GSM Processing Offices to a minimum, to allow processing of yourown and other applications to proceed as quickly as possible. If you have been given a 28 day period to provide further information or documentation you may not receive a response fromyour case officer until that period has lapsed. " I supposed I have to wait at least 28 days before hearing from the CO again. eDIT: Just realised there's another possible explanation of the Radio silent from CO. It may be due the fact that she never received my email two weeks ago as I didn't repl to the specified email address she provided in the PDF document. The email she used to contact me may be a dud and will not be able to receive incoming emails at all Now, I have sent another email to the specified email address and i hope i will hear from her soon. Fingers crossed.
  9. My CO only asked for New passport Biopage, Form 927 (for the new passport detail), Acad transcript and PCC. I already have payslip and proof of employment attached when I lodged my application back in 2008. So this time around the time limiting factor was only the Australian PCC (NPC). And to my surprise, AFP only took less than one day (lodged at 10am, approved by 5pm) to process my NPC. They posted the NPC to me on 25th Oct, I received it on 29 Oct which I uploaded all the requested documents later that day. Following that I sent her an email informing her that I have submitted all the documents but it has been radio silence since. FYI, I'm currently on 457 and I've been residing in Aus for a while, which explains why she asked for the AFP NPC on top of my home country PCC which I had it processed back in March.
  10. I wonder does anyone know what's the average processing time of case officer after they have all the documents at hand? As mentioned, I received a CO on my 175 application on 24 Oct. In the email she requested a few extra documents before further process my case. I resubmitted all the requested documents on 29 Oct and haven't heard from her since. Perhaps the COs are working relentlessly at their desks on multiple cases and will only revisit my case file once they finalised other cases. Still patiently waiting..
  11. Since then I was on 574 then recently applied for 457
  12. So happy that I finally have a CO assigned today on my Subclass 175 application. My application was lodged on 21 July 2008, Application being processed further on 15 Oct 2013 Medical received on 18 Oct 2013 Currently CO is asking for further documentations, incl. PCC which is the only thing that will take up most of the time out of the rest. I'm working full-time in AU at the moment. I suppose being 175 application I should expect the CO to advise me to make travel arrangement out of Australia when visa decision is being made. I hope the waiting period isn't going to be too long to interrupt my work schedule.
