  1. Hi All, Just a quick update on our progress. Visa has been granted today after an 8month 17day wait. Heading out to Melbourne a week on Saturday so could not have come at a better time. All the best to everyone waiting, and thanks to all who have contributed to forum, has been a great help
  2. Hi all, similar to the above it seems many people have quite tight deadlines when it comes to visa grants and booking flights. Personally speaking we are still a bit off with the application submitted mid Jan. I’m sure this has been asked many times in the past, but what if it was not granted before flying out? From what I understand the best thing to do is advise the CO to seek their permission. Once granted the applicant would then have to go offshore briefly for the visa to become valid. Is this the correct procedure? We are targeting October to attend a family wedding, but think it may be quite a push!
  3. Hi Gary & Jenny, We applied online and this option was visible to us straightaway. I could click on the link and print off the details, thats all you can really do at this stage. I reckon Its worth waiting on your CO as they will give you details of when to sort this out. We applied mid January and have been asked to proved medicals/police checks after mid March good luck
  4. Yea we applied online on 13th of Jan, it was very straighforward and had no issues so far. You will need payment upfront to allow you to complete, and also upload docs which can be a bit time consuming. A lot less hassle than posting everything to London along with certified docs however. We have since been asked to upload some additional docs which is not a problem. Good luck
  5. haha you’re not wrong, payment required before you can complete. I’m relaxed about that though, as long as I’m in the queue. Got so much to do in preparation anyway, sell house, sell flat, sell car etc etc etc
  6. Hey thanks for getting back, I did eventually opt for the online system, which to be honest was very straight forward. Not heard much since though, but judging by other forums many are waiting for a case officer to be assigned. Need to be patient I guess.
  7. Good luck, I managed to submit via the online system last weekend. Uploaded a number of documents and also paid fee. just waiting to hear back from someone.
  8. Hi All, I was just about to send our 309/100 partner visa and I have noticed the option my be available online via Immiaccount. Just wondering if anyone has used this to apply for the same visa? and im guessing its still ok for an offshore applictation? Many thanks in advance stephen
  9. We are in the exact same position as yourselves, everything printed off, certified and good to go. Ive dug out some old photos and cards etc but to be honest we have not kept that much stuff as proof. Although we are married, with child and lived together for over 8 years. I will also be interested to hear other folks take on this though. Good luck
  10. Thanks for the best wishes, Yea reading some other posts we will need to get the spouse visa submitted asap due to the waiting times
  11. That seems to be the consensus, will get things started this weekend. As for passport i was kind of hoping to do this via Australia House in Edinburgh, but as you say could make a weekend out of a trip to London. Cheers
  12. That's a great help, thank you. felt like throwing in the towel, but will give it another go
  13. Hi folks, first time on forum. i'm an Australian citizen through birth, and hoping to move out with wife and young child at some point next year. about to apply for spouse visa, but not sure about my young son. Do we apply for him as an additional person to this application. alternatively I was wondering if it is a better option to apply for his Australian citizenship and subsequent passport. Although have seen this can take up to 14 months?! Really don't know where to begin, so much conflicting info
