  1. Hi Nancy! Wow, it's been a long time i've last logged in here. Luckily i could remember the password to login. Well, I have no idea of the post of mine that you've gone through. Anyway I didn't try either NT or the job offer option after all. It was so complicated. But I was lucky in another way. In 2013 November I got the Orana state sponsorship and I applied for 489 regional visa. I got it in 2014 February and in the same month i moved to Dubbo with my family. Dubbo is a really really nice place to live in. Specially to raise a family. Almost all the facilities are there along with very good schools and the neighbourhood is awesome. I lived there for two years and applied for 887 PR visa and moved to Lithgow, another regional area, close to Sydney so as to visit my customers in Sydney time to time. Last month I got my PR. Hoping to move to Sydney in a couple of months. Everything went smoothly during the past 2 1/2 years. Life is so easy in regional areas, of course you need to have some kind of job. It depends. I'm a self-employer, so I didn't have any problem in jobs. I think obtaining a job offer is not that easy. That's why I gave it up and went through this process. If you are sure on a job offer then it might be worth trying on it, otherwise trying at least the regional option is so much the better, if you are unable in 190 visa. Sorry, I couldn't give a straight forward answer to you question. I again suggest you, if you are eligible, apply for any 489 regional visa and reduce the time to be a PR holder in Australia. Cheers
  2. Hi Rupert, I know this is not the correct thread for my question. But I need quick advice from you. I'm in a serious situation I believe. Just after I got my approval for 489 regional sponsorship I got an invitation. My points given by the EOI were 60. I too claimed 60, so I didn't want to see the points break down document provided in my EOI homepage. But after the invitation I just went through it and hit the ceiling. Eoi has given me points for Australian Work experience which i didn't want to claim. But I wanted 15 points for overseas work experience. unfortunately EOI has counted only 10points for that which i don't know why. Even after my qualifications also i have 10years experience. There was no question to answer as 'yes' or 'no' to Australian Work experience, like "Do you claim points for Australian Work experience?" All employment details were filled in the same form. I have 1 year offshore work experience with an Australian Company. When filling those details under employer's country I mentioned Australia. Otherwise how can i write my country's name in that box, which is not existing in my country. However EOI automatically gave me 5 points. I have all work details with that company, but physically i didn't work there except one business visit last year. My other problem is why it didn't give me 15 points for my overseas work experience though i have more than 10years experience. I have all relevant documents to prove and claim 15 points for overseas work experience. Why this has happened? I couldn't do anything to reverse it back. Will i be able to convince my problem to the CO with all my docs and tell about what EOI automatically did to my points and claim 15 points for overseas work experience? Please tell me about my situation. Will my application be rejected for what i didn't do and what EOI points calculator did to me? Need advice. please help

  4. Hi Samulv, Now we have the idea of how we should go ahead with the process. Thank you very much for your information as we were going to mess up the whole process, not considering about the statement. Hope for the best . Thank you very much again.
  5. Hi Citation, Thank you very much for your reply. Now I understand what to do in evidencing employability. Now we're working on it though it is a hard task. Wish you all the best in your process. Thank you so much again.
  6. Hi Samulv, Thank you very much for your prompt reply and kindness in giving such valuable information. As you said we'll try our best in the statement. My husband's job is in the priority list of NT. We don't have an agent. We're going to do this by ourselves. Will this be OK? Our worry is under the section 1.1 Eligibility for Northern Territory Government Nomination in the application formthe following questions should be answered as No in our case. They are; Have you received an offer of employment in the NT? Are you currently working in your nominated skilled occupation in the NT? Do you or your spouse have family links in the NT? Have you completed tertiary studies on a Charles Darwin University campus? If these answers are 'No' won't we be eligible for NT 190 state sponsorship. And the other question is 'Are you able to provide strong evidence of employability in the NT in your nominated occupation?' Could you please kindly advise us in what sort of evidence they ask for. All the other documents are fine to process with the application. A lot confused about the above mentioned problems. By the way so pleased to hear about your success and wish you and your family all the very best in Darwin. Thank you so much.
  7. Hi Samulv, We're going to apply for NT 190 sponsorship. My husband has everything needed in the process except relations in NT or any offer from NT employer. Is it a must to have relations in NT in order to apply for 190 visa. My husband is a Software Engineer with more than 17 years experience in the field. He has the Skills Assessment assessed suitably for skilled migration. Do you think that he will have a chance to get the sponsorship by NT without having relations in NT. Furthermore could you pls kindly advice me whether it is hard to find a software job in NT and how is the lifestyle in Darwin or NT. Your valuable information will be so helpful to us. Thanks a lot in advance.
