  1. Many thanks LInda for sending me updated information regarding the 103 visa queue dates that are currently being considered. Our date is just one month later than the cut of date, September 2010, it's so frustrating that it hasn't moved for 12 months, I really wish that I had applied for the contributory visa a few years ago, still life goes on.
  2. I recently posted with an incorrect visa number, I'll start again. Has anyone recently had a request for police checks ect. for visa 103 or have been allocated a case officer Last year a chart was displayed showing the date that further documents were being requested as August 2010, Does anyone know if this as been updated? Any information would be really appreciated
  3. Hi, will anyone who has recently been granted a 301 visa please, please let me know as the queue hasn't moved for ages.
  4. I second that, I also love the UK and I have a daughter and grandchildren in both countries which makes it even harder but the grandchildren are all now getting into their late teens so really it has got to be about us now, and I think the weather will win.
  5. Thank you Elbert for the reply, I'm worried now because we go visiting our Australian family early December for three months. I still can't understand why the queue date is still showing 3000 plus we thought that we had ages to make a decision.
  6. The 103 visa is a long wait and eight years may be a bit optimistic. We applied May 2010, our queue date is 24 December 2010, we are now 3460 in the queue which I expect will take us to 2020 before we get accepted. However I was interested in you saying that August 2010 is now being considered. Where did this information come from? also can anyone who also applied in 2010 please let us know if you have been contacted about police checks ect. We aren't 100% sure, (because of our age), whether we will eventually end up in Australia and I suspect there are a lot who are also thinking along the same lines. I have loved keeping a check on all the many people that have passed through this forum and the information and advise given by so many. Keep up the good work.
  7. Jim, You could save yourself a bit of money as at your age you could apply for the aged parents visa but you would have to be in Australia to apply.
  8. Go onto the brand new PIO parents thread as there are lots of information on it, The current processing date seems to be early June.
  9. Hi Ruth, I think that you are in for a ten year wait. Although May 2009 is the current assessment date our date is September 2010 and we are still 7520 on the list which at 2000 per year is a long way off.
  10. Hi Issycrocker, You could apply for the aged parents 804 visa in 12 months time saving you a lot of money, I have a daughter in the UK as well as two children in Oz, it is very difficult to make the break completely.
  11. Hi Ruth, You will need to fill in form 929 to change your passport details. We have also applied for the 103 visa and are now more than halfway down the list which has taken five years
  12. Hi Deesydney, With the 301 queue being reduced the length of waiting time could be ten years, who knows. All I can tell you is that ours has been reduced by over 7000 in four years However there are still over eleven thousand ahead of us in the queue. we're still expecting to wait another five years but that could change if the allocation increases which it has done in previous years.
  13. I expect a lot of parents will be abandoning the 301 visa as they have reduced the numbers allowed in for the year 2014/15 to 1500 and that is for both the 301 and the 804 visas, As we have a daughter in the UK it's not upsetting us too much however it is annoying
