Hi guys, How are you? Got my results today. But it seems that now I find myself in somewhat of a situation. Folks, I want to apply for WA State Sponsorship as I intend to reside in Perth. I have already done EA assessment. Here is my band score Listening: 8.0 Reading: 9.0 Writing: 8.0 Speaking: 7.5 Overall: 8.0 As per my calculations, I have a total of 60 points Education (Bachelor of engineering 4 year degree) = 15 points Age (25 next week) = 30 points IELTS = 10 points SS = 5 points Now my query is that what are the chances of getting an invite with 60 points? Should I apply for a remark in speaking and hope to get 8 across the board, making my score to be of 70 points? I will be applying as a civil engineer under anzsco code 233211. Your help is much appreciated.

Thanks mate. Guess I got one of them wrong as I wrote Management skills (a pure guess as I didn't hear what the narrator said before "skills").

The same happened with me, i.e. I lost concentration. Yes the right answer was massages as far as I can recall. Do you remember answers to 17 and 30 by any chance? I also need 7 each and speaking is the only reason I'm doing the test again as I didn't know about remark etc until it was too late. The last time I gave IELTS, I didn't do any research or practice and this time I have only practiced the speaking section a little. But I am still confused as to why I was awarded 6.5 in speaking the last time. Let's see what happens this time. I have the speaking test on 2nd August. And yes you can get more than 7 with 36 correct answers.

Hi guys, I took my IELTS (GT) test on 27th July, 2013. I got confused in the listening section with two questions. The four sections were: Section 1 - gym membership options Section 2 - Park (with a map of facilities) Section 3 - Student Learning Centre (what is offered) Section 4 - Research about dolphins in Australia I got confused with question 17 (was about location of the garden or something like that) and question 30 (was about what will students work on during the Summer school). Also this is my second attempt at IELTS with previous score as L 8.5, R 8.0, W 7.5 and S 6.5.
