  1. Hi all, I just emailed my CO to ask if there was any news since it's been 2 weeks since my last communication. I think "Team" 8 must actually a team of one given the length processing time. What did we do to deserve this???
  2. Fellow Team 8er's I'm afraid that there is nothing we can do other than go to bed hopeful and wake up disappointed until eventually the email arrives. In any normal walk of life, when you pay for a service you are well within your rights to have a strong word if you feel that the service is falling short of what you paid for. Not so with this scenario, DIAC hold all the cards, so I suggest that we all buy a bottle of wine and try to remember that it's not life or death...although it might feel like it. Bottoms up! 3. Your question is too broad for general comment and individual circumstance dictate each case. I suggest you read Booklets 6 (Points Based Skilled Migration) and 11 (Skillselect) to understand how the process works. Read them thoroughly as there is little or no room to manoeuvre and you must get everything correct to stand a chance of a speedy visa grant. Porkfarm
  4. Stefe, I have been asked for a few documents on a three different occasions, all of which I supplied quickly, but there were long periods between each request. They seemed to have some doubts over one of my employment history letters as I don't think it was in the exact format they require. I was also asked for 10 years worth of payslips and tax documents, which is just bonkers, but I have given them the best I can do now. All the big stuff like medicals were front loaded. Not that that has helped at all. It's in the lap of the gods! Who knows, I may wake up to some good news in a few hours??? Porkfarm Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk - now Free
  5. That's true, but even the god aweful systems in the UAE don't take over a month. If I were to put my neck on the block, I'd sat Team 8 are busy and/or under staffed and/or inexperienced in the GSM process. Either way I gave up stressing about it a few weeks ago as we are quite literally powerless (even though we're paying customers), so what is the point in losing sleep over it....The DIAC have broken me!!!
  6. Wallas, unfortunately I don't think your logic, while sensible, is correct. Our case is seemingly very straight forward and we're from a low risk country, but we've been waiting a long time now. What I find infuriating is that we were never asked for all the additional information in one go, rather an item at a time with a week or more between each request. You would think the logical way to do it would be to ask for everything required in one go. Our move timeline has been totally messed up now, but DIAC do not give ant firm promises so it's really down to us if we gamble on making plans assuming the grant is imminent. I think the frustration is the poor communication, which is easily addressed by the DIAC, but too late for us June applicants with Team 8.
  7. I've just had the following message from my CO (Team 8): "Thank you for your email. Please be advised the application is currently under assessment. You will be contacted via email if further documents are required or once the application has been finalised." Sounds like a time buying email to me, but at least we've heard something. We remain hopeful that the next email brings good news. Porkfarm
  8. Humi, Regarding your wife being pregnant, we have the same issue. She must sign a pregnancy undertaking (Form 1392), which allows her to defer the x-ray until the baby is born. This is only valid for people from 'low risk' TB countries though. Unfortunately this also means she will be referred in the eHealth system, which comes with the associated delay.....not that delays seem to be a problem at the moment. I think all of the COs are on holiday. Over 2 weeks with zero communication?!?!? Hope that helps. Porkfarm
  9. Forget it....it's working again now. As I suspected. Gremlins!!!
  10. Hummm, interesting.... I just tried to log on to my eVisa account to do the pointless daily check for changes, and I can't log on anymore. It takes me to a 'Forgotten TRN' retrieval page. Is this just me or is it a gremlin in the system? I expect the latter. Cheers, Porkfarm
  11. Well it's gone 5:30pm in Adelaide so I think our CO's will be heading home now. Another frustrating day passes. Who'd have thought that we paid over $3000 for a 'service' which doesn't contact you with any information (good or bad) for 2 weeks!! I'm not overly impressed!
  12. Thanks Redski, The Inland Revenue chaps were very helpful and even faxed me a copy of my P60 record. It's good to hear they accepted back to 2007 only. Lord knows why they'd need more than that...but I'm finding that this process isn't totally logical or straightforward. I can only hope that there is nothing else on the list they need...possibly the cards from my 3rd birthday??? Porkfarm
  13. Hi Debbio, I was asked for pay and tax information going back 10 years. Who keeps records for that long??? The best I could get was 2007 from the Inland Revenue. I don't suppose you had a similar experience regarding the provision of information? If so hopefully I have done enough since you've been granted. Many thanks, Porkfarm
