Many thanks to you all for your comments, I shall look into above mentioned migration agents and hopefully find a positive outcome !!

Obviously I understand your view point but when I phoned up and asked a migration agent from brisbane during 1st stage of pregnancy what to do, they said that the immigration department doesnt care if you have a pregnant partner and would only let me in once child was born..plus we hadnt been together long enough for the defacto relationship....missing my daughter's birth was a risk I wasnt willing to take. And believe me I have many regrets, and understand your high horse position, but unless you ever lived in that fear you wouldnt understand

Unfortunately she has just set up a business so it wouldn't be able to happen (her coming here)...im back at work tomorrow but im going to phone Australia house and see if I can get student visa or something. .bit scared of what they going to say but I have to try every avenue..cant give up..I even have the immigration ministers details and I shall write to him if it comes to it

Yes I still love her very much, she said she needs time to heal as the whole experience was very upsetting for her....try being bloody me for 10 seconds I feel like saying. She is a good soul but very controlled by family...we are both 30 which is why it annoys me so much that her family have such controll

Well they said you get a 3 year ban but it would probably be waived because of circumstances. ...at the risk of sounding stupid where should I go for legal advice? Because obviously im in the uk and legal advice is only for here. Do I just go to embassy or does anybody know of a good migration agent here that would be a help?

Any body know from personal experience of a good migration agent? I had one in brisbane before I left and he wasnt much use to be honest. ..surely it must be against rights to stop me getting into the country to see my child..my ex isnt stopping me seeing her or anything so...such a painfull bloomin situation..dont know how some parents can forget they have kids

Cheers mate..I already had the working holiday visa so cant have another. And unfortunately I dont have any trade qualifications so thats hindering me....I want to try and get a torist visa so I can atleast see my daughter but they have given me a 3 year ban due to overstay...but they should waive it due to my circumstances, I hope..tried to ring embassy in london today but its public holiday.....soon as I got back to u.k I found a job n started saving but the money for quickest parent visa is disgraceful

I have a 8 month old little girl in hervey bay qld, I was a backpacker but overstayed my visa by a year because I met and fell in love with Australian girl, she fell pregnant and so we were scared I would miss the birth of our child if I handed myself in...2 months after child was born we had argument and her mom phoned up and told police I was illegal so long story short had to leave...ive tried to sort things with ex and she said she will help me but not through a partner visa...the contributary parent visa is sooo expensive for me at the moment and the other parent visas are years on waiting lists.. does anyone know of any help I can find because im missing my little girls baby moments and its killing me.....please
